My brother you are like a breath of fresh air. I agreed all of these differences need to stop and focus on the big picture. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) welded the Arab community as one. This has not been done after the Caliphate Ali (May Allah bless him) was killed. Even though you might not agreed with me, but The Honorable Elijah Muhammad was trying to weld us as a Nation, he wanted us to see the bigger picture. Imam Warith. Deen Muhammad tried and his work was good. Minister Louis Farrakhan now said it is time for us to unite. So, brother you’re absolutely correct let us focus on the bigger picture. Africa might be big but it can come under one umbrella.
We need to look at examples when Islam was used to lift people up. Look to the work and life of Utham Dan Fodio. Look to what was going on in Timbucktu.
Malcom took those rational practical steps you’re talking about. He was a debater. He was not afraid to confront the opposition. He would say: my religious philosophy is Al-Islam, my political philosophy is black nationalism. Although he wasn’t a racist , he addressed the kind of world we lived in. We got to stop tip toeing and address the real issues. We know we got gifted scholars. But they’re not being for real.
As Salaam Alaakum, African American Muslims, or the Black Muslims, laid the foundation, we just need to keep building on that foundation and have our own Black Muslim community, WE NEED OUR OWN MUSLIM COMMUNITY.
A prime example of this is New Madina Mississippi. They are concern about setting up a Hifzh School but they don't have a place of their Own to buy a Loaf of Bread.
Salaam alaikum Imam Abdul-Rahman, thank you for this message. I am curious to know why Islam is predominant at the top of the African continent, where the numbers of African Muslims in Southern Africa are very low. Do you have any idea/reference that can help me understand what happened as Africans migrated to the South?

What's that they need to be addressed off? We've offered the keys in English. 'Arabic seems to make the ummah more susceptible to damage. All of the sects seems to offer different 'flavour ' of A Way. Rest assured we are monitoring. Assalamualaikum
Moral courage? When were abroad we have an embassy we can go to that has the backing of the US military. If we didn't we might think twice about speaking our mind.
