Love Jim Reeves, thought I had heard all of his songs, but do not remember this one, which I really like! Thank you, Bill!

This is an "overdubbed" version of the original. The original was released as an "album cut" on the 1961 LP "Tall Tales & Short Tempers" and got virtually no airplay at all. The background music on the 1961 version is drastically different from this version, much softer and more low key. This 1977 overdub was produced by Bud Logan (not Chet Atkins, who produced so many other JR overdubs, as well as all of his RCA songs while he was alive), Bud also is playing the electric guitar.

I have the 1961 album stuck back on a shelf somehwere, if the quality is still good I'll upload that version in the near future. Jim seems to have had more posthumous releases than Carter has pills. ...thanks for posting, Your info is always welcome.

Could you also upload the flip side? (Should be: 'I won't forget you.) This is a reworked version, now I am curious about the B side.

I'd be happy to willy but this promo copy only has one song ...the other side is a mono version of this song. I still may have it and will post it if i do.
