That was a damn fine performance, Neil. Man, the number of rhythmic changes that were happening left and right was insane! I really loved those funky bits in the verses. What a super groovy and melodic bassline. Absolutely fantastic stuff, my friend! ❤🎸
@@neilmorrow9756 No problem, man! And actually no! So it was pretty cool to listen to it for the first time while watching you play along to it. It had such a great bassline.
Oh man, I haven't heard this song in such a long time. So good!! Wow, what a cool bass line. So bouncy, fits the song perfectly. And the tone from that P is soooo good. Super tight playing Neil. You are in the zone. Beautifully done. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@neilmorrow9756 Oh that's right! The Olympic White P bass had a rosewood neck!! What bass did you put the rosewood on? And how do you like it? Do you notice any difference or is it just cosmetic?
@@thomasfioriglio the maple isn’t as thick as the rosewood so it’s a bit more comfortable to play but I am used to that old rosewood neck. The rosewood is on the black 2007 USA precision now so. It looks dark and mean in appearance and tone.
Great bassline and freekin perfect tone! Is that color Olympic White (Fender)? It’s a beauty!! And did I ask you that question before , with your answer? Lol!!
Hi Bill, yes it’s my 95 USA Olympic white precision but I swapped the rosewood neck for my 2007 black precision maple neck it was a perfect fit and is a bit slimmer in thickness so a bit punchier in the mix. Thanks for watching mate!
Nice tune for a bass cover. First time i hear this song. Im hearing influence between The Jam and The Smiths. What kind of genre played this band? You rock!!
Thanks Ed. This was a band from Hull in England formed in the eighties called the House Martins. I think they were Indie pop band that had good success in the charts.

Thank you!!!
Nicely done Neil. It's a fun bassline to play and you nailed it.
Thanks Jason! The. Verses are busier than the choruses which is unusual like it should be the other way round but it works.
Class Neil…great bassing and love that song 👍👍👍
Cheers Paul! It’s a good fun one to play, mate!

Thanks Thomas. I did something naughty with my 2 precisions…I switched necks and this was the outcome. They both fitted like a glove.
