    3rd time through all 308 episodes. They help me to sleep. I couldn't do without dreaming of the only dad I'd ever wanted as a child (Joe Friday). I remember watching the episodes with my gran. This show was the reason I wanted to be in Law Enforcement.

      I’m listening to them to help me sleep too, although I’ve been sneaking in some episodes during the day as well. I’ve got quite a few left to listen to. This show is way before my time, but I’m an old soul I guess. I’m hooked on them. 3x … not sure I’ll listen that many times but who knows 🙂

      You must be my soulmate... I discovered them when I was a kid and found an old VHS copy of the Dragnet movie with Dan Akroid and Tom Hanks at a garage sale. My mom came into the room while I was watching the movie and told me about watching the TV episodes in color when she was a kid. This was back when the internet was just starting to go mainstream. We spent quite a few weekends that summer searching for episodes. It still is one of the few fond memories I have as a kid.

    “The Big Border” March 20, 1952... my favorite year 🤩
    Unfortunately BenRomero , Bartion Yarborough, passed b4 this episode.His replacement, Barney Phillips, played in several Columbo episodes 20 years later.
    * Yarborough passed away 12/19/51.
    Wonder why they didn’t thank Mexican police as they did the San Diego force?
    Thanks for the RUclips post 👌

    Thanks for posting these. Never heard of Barton Yarborough until you posted this series. He and Ed Jacobs are my favorite Joe Friday partners. The writing changed shortly after Ben Alexander became a regular.

    Just because you do the crime and go past the country's borders doesn't mean that you are scot-free, and that includes murders.
