Boy when we lose Dolly it's going to be one hell of a day here in East Tennessee. We worship her here for so many reasons. She has done so much for us and we love her. But I have a feeling this woman is going to go on for a LONG LONG time!

Yes, Melissa2087, that one really stuck with me. One of my best friends and I were talking about family drama stuff and how "some people should have been spayed and neutered before becoming parents" and it's true, those who get out of that slime have done those 4 things. College or no college it can still work.

sweet and interactive with her audience throughout her performance, you could tell she was giving everything she had to
entertain us and to show her love for her fans. There is only one Dolly Parton, a treasure to our earth! Love you Dolly :)

Dolly is an enlightened soul. I swear, her heart is so pure. Back before the patriarchy toppled matriarchal societies, those "trash" women were actually conduits to the divine, that was before THEY subjugated women into a negative thing which we all have suffered under. The fact that she saw the beauty in that as a little girl with the biggest heart is something beyond words. I can't think of another women in the spotlight who is this loved while carrying the trappings of "beauty" with humor, grace and humility. And her talent, forget about it..... wow..I just adore her.

I love reading because my mother loved to, as did her Pennsylvania coal Irish American family. Dad? Southern Methodist, not sophisticated enough to read, when he finally did, it caused a world of pain for our family. Education from good sources, rolling up the sleeves, I created a career for myself. My work and savings could not withstand the failure of the government money people to protect honest people. I completley carried her values she expressed toward the end of her speech. BTW Inlove watching the Governenors' blushing and laughing. a loving person is a caring person and its harder to be better than that. She explained her God-Core. And subtly acknowledges her Carl. I wish she were my aunt.

I've been watching a couple commencement speeches and hers if my favorite so far! It seems like she isn't showing off about her accomplishments or anything. Even Lisa Kudrow who was pretty good, got boring after awhile. Jk Rowling was pretty good too. I feel like she knows how to capture an audience and not make it boring while making it inspiring. Or maybe she seems very chill and comfortable and it makes it good? Does anyone have this feeling?

This speech is so inspirational and her new book Dream More that is based off of this commencement speech is by far the BEST book I've ever read! She is such a sweet person and so real! People really need to take a look at her beyong the makeup, hair, and boobs and see how genuine she is! Love you Dolly!
