One of the most beautiful Tchaikovskys I ever heard. And I've heard them all. Wow, what a sound!
Amazing ❤ Great Tibor Varga❤
His sound is out of this world!
I had the most fortunate chance to act as music student host to Tivor Varga for his 24 hr visit and recital to Bangor University North Wales UK in 1964 .David Parhouse drove from London to accompany, From the wings , Dvoraks 4 Romantic pieces and his Bach Chaconne finale in Prichard Jones Hall left me spellbound.
Hall left me spellbound. " Its all floating up and away from me" he said to me on coming off whilst waiting for the encore applause.
An exquisite experience of a lifetime,
At 6:29, his trills are like a sonorous bird displaying its brilliance.
No question, Tibor Varga was a wonderful violinist with a ferocious facility and vivid imagination I interviewed him for The way they play ...book 9 and I as well played for him a few times.... he was an intense character, but someone with great individuality and sadly, all but forgotten in United States. Wow, this is the best interpretation I ever heard!
Great soul 🙏😍🙏
Thank you M° ❤
recorded in 1966
Yes that's what I wrote on the opening slide.
@@john1951w Not 60?
@@RModillo Discogs says 1966 but I maybe wrong.
@@john1951w Headline says 1960, so worth straightening out?
