Angst is the German word for fear or maybe worry. Thank you for this post-election lesson. ❤
Oh, very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks ❤
Thank you very much teacher!
Congratulations to you all americans!
It's great victory of common sense!
You also over-performed your channel sir
Congratulations🎊 @Donald Trump🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Brent! Honestly, I'm shocked that he had a landmark victory. By the way, "angst" is a German word, we just prounce it a bit different!
Very cool. I just looked up the entomology for the word, "angst." Sure enough, we get it from the German and Danish. We started using it in English in the 1800s when speaking about psychology. No surprise, I think most of the best psychology books at that time were written in German. Have a great day, Tessa.
It’s hard to understand why the most powerful democracy in the world has such a flawed electoral system, where the winner of a state receives all the electoral votes, even if the candidate wins by just a single vote. I’m curious if there are ever discussions about changing this system-perhaps moving to a direct electoral system or at least making it more proportional to the votes.
There are talks, but I don’t see it changing any time. We’d have to amend the Constitution. Impossible with such a divided country.
The electoral system has been working for a very long time. The weaknesses only become apparent when the majority is not clear
I think I should learn more vocabulary from your channel to better understand what the news anchors are reporting
They speak so quickly.
This channel is a sweet spot!
Glad you enjoy it!
👍👍👍💪💪💪Hurra~ ~~

is it possible if you can do Harris latest speech? Some phrases I knew every single word, but did not get the whole message. Thanks you very much. My daughter, who is native speaker, said a lot of them are expressions of feelings or visions, and hard to explain in different language.
Absolutely. Working on it now. Should be out Saturday. 😀
Hi Brent
Do you remember that in one of your previous videos , I left a comment where I said that I have an inkling that Trump is going to make a comeback to the white house !!!
It seems like my guts feeling was spot on .
Keep it up
Fatiha Switzerland
I do remember, Fatiha. Nice work!
I wish we also had a limitation to two terms for government leaders.
Ah, yes. Congress has no term limits.
@AmericanEnglishBrent Actually I meant the government in the country where I live. Theoretically they can govern forever as long as they are reelected every four years.
Watching....... rn
Blessings from Italy. We love Trump
What happen in the Election Day? Do you guys take it as any kind of holiday leave or it’s a regular day?

To win the popular votes but not the electoral ones sounds unfair. Am I wrong? Regarding the expression 'to run the table' I would be interested to learn where it comes from.
The electoral college dates back to the beginning of our country. It would be nearly impossible to change. Maybe I will do a video about that.
@@AmericanEnglishBrent Thank you so much. Your videos are appreciated. ❤
MAGA!!!!!!
Unfortunately, Trump won the election. But that's not the focus. Brent, you are the best, I love your lessons about the news.
Oh, wow! Thanks so much for the kind words.

Oh that's surprising I was thinking Kamala will win.
MAGA!
The presidential race is finally over. Thanks for your extraordinary teaching, Brent! But please, don't overwork yourself, and get plenty of rest
Denis, very kind. I'll be able to sleep when I get old. :)
Sad
Narrowly lost. Does it mean that he lost?
Yes, but by just a little bit. He almost won.
Trump ❤🔥
Trump is over-talk about successful himself.
Brent, congtats on the Trump's potent win! Even though you diligently didn't give your opinion in the lessons, to me, it was quite plain to see that Trump and republicans are prefferable for you. 🎉 🎉🎉
However, maybe I'm wrong in my assumption? 🤔
I never say, but thank you. 🙏🏼
Congratulations 🎉 🎊 now America will be great again thanks to Donald Trump ✊✊✊✊✊🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
