  • According to a UNICEF Report, Pakistan is home to 4.2 million orphans who are left unattended and unloved by their parents as a result of poverty, rape scenarios, HIV/ AIDS, and many other factors. Though the creation of various welfare funds are a well-intentioned step, the problem of orphans without shelter in Pakistan, is huge.
I, along with my team, was absolutely humbled to visit Sirat ul Jannah last week. Witnessing their relentless smiles and undeterred urge to make the best of life, was a heart-warming and eye-opening experience. These little souls manage to appreciate the little joys of life, despite what fate sent their way...Those few hours that I spent with them, were deeply, deeply rewarding, and I couldn’t be more honoured to be the reason behind their beaming smiles. 🙏😊🥰
Every child deserves a home and this place is no less than a home for them. Sitting with these children gave me this inner peace and contentment, which I haven’t felt for quite some time now...and also immense gratitude (which we don’t practice enough in today’s world of social media, technology and lack of empathy). We are a progressing nation and being part of the privileged ones, it is our fundamental duty to support such institutions by spreading love, while raising awareness and providing any kind of support.
Come one, come all and let the joy spread all around... #loveisallyouneed ❤
