- As requested, this video goes over how to make a bench harness for a 3rd generation Dodge Ram gauge cluster. This may not apply to 2006-2008 so double check any pinouts for those years.
I also cover a little bit about how to de-pin or re-pin a connector.

Still great info even after 3 years later👍👍👍
Thanks. Very much appreciated this is exactly what I was trying to figure out. Might want to add the word cluster to video description people would probably search that word to make video easier to find
I wish you woulf show a hardwire video for a cut stereo harness
It's worth noting. 02/03 clusters the white and gray plugs on them are reversed. Looking at back of board gray on left white on right.
Is the pinout still the same just connectors are swapped
Well I've been looking high low to try to find the cluster pin out for the 2008 Dodge ram 1500 because my wife wants me to upgrade her truck because we had to get a dash out of a 2008 Dodge ram 1500 and the problem is I cannot find the proper pin outs for this new cluster so I can wire it up properly would you happen to know where I can get a set of diagrams that way I can wire this cluster up correctly cuz you know what they say Happy wife happy life
do you rebuild clusters , or can recommond someone to rebuild one?
What problem are you having with yours ?
@@DIYDynamix I'm only getting 3v at the interior headlight switch, in turn it's only sending 3v to my headlights. and it appears that the Power supply for the switch runs thru the cluster, then from the switch to the headlights.
@@keithh3767 you’re right in that the cluster controls a lot. It’s also the BCM, but that generally only controls interior stuff.
I don’t think the cluster is really your problem though, since that 3v is signal voltage and thins aren’t controlled directly like they were in the past. So you aren’t sending 12v through the switch to the lights.
If I’m not mistaken, what’s happening is the signal is being sent from the switch to the cluster, the cluster is telling the FCM or a specific relay to activate to turn your lights on.
I’d check your fuse box (IPM on 02-04, TIPM on 06+) and FCM first.
im working on a 2006 ram cummins cluster, where can i find the diagram for it, they are slightly different
You need to find and obtain the factory service manual.
@@anthonyirwin6698 I have and i still cant manage to get a good description for the c3 26pin.
@@MRGoodenough76 if you have the factory service manual you will find connector pin outs in section 8W I believe.
@@anthonyirwin6698 i do not, i looked it up 8w-1-40 but I either couldn't make sense of it or its not giving me the right information
