What i love abt this new wave of rap is its completely testing fans on how they approach new music, its almost like people are going out of their way to not give ken any form of credit just because of this whole new sound and approach that these artists are taking with rage

I love how misunderstood Ken is 😂. Ken pretty much fits in a sub-genre that most people think they understand, but they actually don’t. You’d think you understand that sub-genre once you hear a couple artists do it, thinking it’s supposed to sound a certain way, when that really isn’t the case at all. That sub-genre within itself is actually quite broad, and what Uzi, Carti, Trippie Redd, etc, essentially created, has now become what the new generation of artists have used to create their own unique sound. Ken makes performance music, it’s not supposed to impress you lyrically, the distorted sounds with the heavy base type of beats are deliberately used. It’s mostly driven by the production and the vibe you get from hearing it. Everything that a normal listener would hate in a project is deliberately executed 😆. Anyone who’s been listening to Ken for time, would know that. And also knows how much he has improved on this since his last project. He flows so much better on this, the songs are more cohesive, and the production and beat selection that he continues to deliver is insanely good. It’s what every fan wanted to hear from him and he has delivered in my opinion. I mean, I know it’s corny to say this, but the numbers speak for themselves 😂
i honestly find myself never liking these albums until a week or even a month later when I listen to it just randomly on a limb, it was this way with whole lotta red and no stylist its like my ears find the right frequency. YOU CANNOT go into this expecting anything its like you have to immerse yourself in there perspective and not what you like in music, just turn your brain off

I’m not sure if you know this, but the reason why you keep thinking of Nudy when you hear some of these songs is cause Ken is heavily influenced by the Atlanta sound, he was born and raised there. And you can definitely tell in the beats that he uses that he’s influenced by Atlanta. He works with TM88 and Southside a lot and they practically raised him.
