I love how misunderstood Ken is 😂. As a long time Ken fan, I totally get why new listeners react the way they do. But I can honestly say, the reason why this is such a good Ken Carson project, is cause he’s so in his pocket on this. As a fan it kinda feels like he’s introducing a whole new sound to hiphop and he sounds so comfortable and confident in it, that it doesn’t matter if people fw it or not, or how successful it is. Which is what makes it so good and refreshing in my opinion. I feel like he’s flowing on these songs, the production and beat selection is insane (as usual) and it’s the most cohesive project he’s ever made. In his past projects it always felt like some of those elements were missing, so I’m happy that he was able to implement all those pieces together on this one. Also, he makes performance music, it’s not supposed to impress you lyrically, and that’s also why he makes these sounds with his voice, which go along with the beat. They don’t make sense to a new listener, but it makes so much sense when he performs and this is gonna sound insanely good on tour, festivals, etc. I’m glad you’re finally tapping into Ken, even though you don’t get his music just yet . This is pretty much “those who get it, get it” typa music 😂

I agree that the producers need more credit, but I think you’re missing the fact that an artist like Ken is also one of the instruments on this album. The vibe and the energy he brings with his flow is pretty unmatched rn, and as someone that listens to a lot of music in this subgenre, I think this is one of the most interesting melodic rap albums of the past few years
