The first time I saw this trailer I was 13 I had just beaten the wind waker. This trailer was everything that I wanted for Zelda and boy did I love twilight princess on the game cube back in the days. Awesome game. I don't think I will ever feel the same level of excitement than when this game released
They would later reuse that concept of being chased through a tunnel by a giant arachnid in Spirit Tracks. I also noticed that the Skulltula webbing up Link and then pouncing at him was reused for Skyward Sword.
@@ernshaw78 7 month later reply. I think they mean that color filter you see in the final game when the world of Hyrule is consumed by the Twilight realm.
They were. The far distant shots of the open fields , dense forests, and larger number of enemies made this game seem like it was going to be huge, breaking from a structured path OOT had set before it. They admitted these trailer misrepresented what was actually possible at the time, at least on Nintendo hardware. In reality all we got was Ocarina of Time 2.0. It wasn't until Switch they could finally do what they had been wanting to do for ages with BOTW.
The first half of this video is the Zelda I was hoping for when they announced Twilight Princess... basically a new gen Ocarina of Time type of game... instead what we got was yet another fucking cartoony Zelda game(I never liked Windwaker)... I'm also still kinda pissed off about that old April Fools joke from, Gamepro Magazine I think it was? Where they announced we'd be getting a badass futuristic cyberpunk type of Zelda game... all the concept art and supposed gameplay screenshots they had looked AMAZING... sadly it was a fkin April Fools joke... fml WE NEED A MATURE ZELDA GAME!!! If they took it completely in the other direction and made a completely KIDDY Zelda game with Windwaker, then they can make a MATURE one too! Nintendo needs to wake tf up!
dbzispimpin you’re crazy, WW was far from a “kiddie” game lmao, you’re referring to a visual style more than anything. If you’re honest to yourself you’ll notice that TP is actually a pretty dated and ugly game when it came out more so now. The textures are compressed like crazy and the character modeling is absolutely poly starved. Not to mention the weirdly proportioned and stylized humans that clash with the pseudo realistic design, compare to say resident evil 4 on the GameCube it blows it out of the water in every respect. There’s hardly anything “mature” about twilights princess plot too, stop conflating presentation with maturity.
That first E3 2004 announcement trailer doesn't feel the same without the insanely loud crowd reaction drowning out the audio
blades will bleed, shields will shatter. jfc where did all the epicness go!? We need shit like this back!
@@rCrypto_Frog4148 nu zelda fans just gush over wholesome shit, which has its place but anything this epic is missing from totk
I hate it the loud noises of people.
😂

Yooo that early version of Gohma/Armogohma looks great
Why wasn't the giant spider in the game

That forest area should have stayed.
1:58 BRO I WANT THAT SO BADLY
ITS THE 2ND TRAILER FOR MEEE 💚💚💚
In hindsight, perhaps the Twilight would've looked better with black and white.
the first trailer i remember soo long ago seeing it. Man, gives me the shivers . . . almost went super saiyin.
I think the game was based on Lord of the Rings, the first trailers seem to show that well
You are correct.
I feel like the early trailers promised me Lord of the Rings, then they chucked in a lot of Tron nonsense that I didn't want
this game was SOOO much darker than the actual tp
This shit takes me baaaaaaaack. Oh man I was hyped for this, talked about it non stop on the Nintendo Nsider forums.
Nesses primeiros trailers a movimentação do link está muito parecida com Ocarina/Majora.
Inclusive a voz.
We Need Zelda TP 2!
DAV GAMING only this time they could actually do it justice to the scope the original tried but failed.
We might have gotten that but instead we got Link's Crossbow Training.
@@TheUltimateNaturalAnd Aonuma never wanted to make CBT
Looks so clean without the sepia filter
What is the Sepia filter?
Still waiting for this version to come out☺️🤔🤣
Ikr
I’m surprised that they kept Ocarina of Time Link’s voice clips that far.
Man, I forgot how much better Beta Gohma was. Release Gohma, although has a cool model, the fight itself sucks.
If the game would have been like the trailers... that would be the best Zelda of all ttimes even better than Ocarina of Time
It’s ocarina of time Link
Before they added that dreadful filter
Which filter was that?
@@ernshaw78 7 month later reply. I think they mean that color filter you see in the final game when the world of Hyrule is consumed by the Twilight realm.
You meant the Bloom filter.
😂
I wish they released this version as a dlc on Wii
Is it me or were the OG trailers for this game 100% better than the final product

I didn't think I'd read a comment like this after 2008, yet here we are. Incredible
