I don’t know where to begin. The collage of styles and genres. The composition. The vocals. The razor blade guitars. The tireless rhythms. It’s like Led Zeppelin decided to do a black metal album and it WORKS. (I think I have a crush on the lead vocalist. She’s a dreamboat.)

@@coldvoid Have you ever heard any band that sounds like this? Any? With this mix of Folk and Black Metal, with this much variety in each song? I haven't and I've listened to thousands of bands. Sure there's some similarities but there's also a great deal that sets them apart, makes them unique.

Whoa, wait what? This auto-played after listening to an obscure 60's British psych song... I've never heard of this band, but this is amazing! It makes me think of "Kelle Surut Soi" by Haavakruunu, but with more folky-ness and a harder punch. I needed this in my life!
The first song floored me, 20 mins in, still amazed. Words can't describe the guitar solo/interlude to the track I am currently hearing...
I love the vocal harmonies on the slower bits, gives me Ulver vibes...
27 or so minutes in, get your shit blown! Fantastic!
Is track 6 a cover? It is definitely different.
Final track starts very "Vargy", but develops quickly into something different...

I like how they're borrowing (not meant pejoratively) from other metal genres, including thrash, death, folk, and atmospheric. It's not "straight" black metal, which might bother some, but I think we've got plenty of regular black metal out there. I dig it!

You don't say, in 1990s you had black metal, death metal, blackened death metal, death-doom albums so many great stuff that many bands were totally overlooked- Norway black metal-Burzum, Darkthrone, Mayhem, Enslaved,Emperor, Carpathian Forest, Ancient ,swedish - Katatonia, Tiamat, Dissection, At The Gates, Entombed, Dawn, Unanimated, Sacramentum, Vinterland, Decameron, , Lord Belial , than Behemoth, Graveland, Hate Forest, Nokturnal Mortum, Hate from Poland and Ukraine , Gorgoroth, Immortal, Satyricon from Norway too there was so much masterpieces then, 80es and 90es were the best period for metal music ,i started listening metal in 1991 and i was 10 years old- Metallica, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, AC-DC, Deep Purple, Megadeth, Slayer and in 1995 i started to listen first death and then black metal

sound perfect , sound quality is important.
I don't know, the original album was released only a couple years and it sounds fine to me.
I guess the band simply wasn't satisfied with the mixing/mastering.
in comparison the drums arent so washed out on the remastered version
