Exploring Arkansas: Trails Less Traveled: Winding Stairs Trail

Located in one of the most picturesque sections of the Ouachita Mountain Range, southeast of Mena, Winding Stairs Trail comprises two miles of the sixteen-mile-long Little Missouri River Trail. Along the way you’ll find scenic rock formations, cascades and swimming holes. The trail gets its namesake from the series of bends and rapids of the river.
