Guy McPherson totally said it so long ago. I have been listening to him for so long and David Suzuki too, but, David always had this happy cheerful nonsense coming out his mouth, and Guy was the happy cheerful nonsense. I’m happy David was honest here. How can we collapse well now? How can we calm the society as systems fail? Who will lead us to a deep breath of compassion, come what may? 🙏🏼❤️🔥🌹

Expect to see more mainstream scientists come forward and finally admit to the truth in the next couple of years. Suzuki just now gets it. I honestly can't wait to see Michael Mann, and James Hannan crying in interviews. These people are in denial, but soon they will all see. You can't drive in one direction, but 'hope' or pray to move in the opposite. You have to actually slow down the car and turn it around. Instead we pushing the accelerator to the floor, while making babies. Those poor kids.

More and more I want to go live in the wilderness and live off the land even if I don't live as long !
The type of energy doesn't matter much. 8 billion humans are still growing in number and in per capita resource demand. Even though I've invented super-flexinol - deliciously edible and configurable as any thing from a car to home with everything and endlessly recycleable, you still have to process the poop from those humans. Plus the sheer lunacy of the monkey barrel chock full and nothing but monkeys and monkey poop everywhere doesn't instill optimism.
This talk is very enlightening...in my recent conversation with the Wealthiest person, he assessment or basis for nature was based on Google's Definition of Nature. That's is the whole problem, we pride ourselves as being smart, successful, learned, developed, or Apex Species thinking that "we Humans" and what we create is the absolute reality and that the earth, universe, cosmos "MUST" revolve around us Humans and is there for our taking/profiteering....
Humans survived so far,, so, hopefully, we still have hopes - my personal belief is that children are born into this world because existing humans are all imperfect and need their fresh perspectives .. as a grown-up, it would be nice to keep searching and taking responsibilities as long as we can..thank you Dr.Suzuki for sharing inspirational stories and ideas always!

Well, So much for sleeping tonight!! And here I thought I was safe from experiencing the worst of climate change being 58 years old. Now I'm hearing predictions from reliable sources (Like Dr Suzuki) that the Human Race has a good chance of being close to extinction by the end of this century!! SMH, BIG SIGH!!!! Maybe now is a good time to sell all of my possession's and take some Bucket List Vacations while the area's are still nice and I'm young enough to enjoy them to their fullest!! Now I just need to know how to offset my Carbon use while on my vacations. ;)
Mr. David Suzuki is a fucking genius.
Have to agree with David that the future looks grim. We opened Pandora’s technology box with fossil fuels, and cannot close the lid. The result is a ruining of the earth. The sudden appearance of humans on the earth, doesn’t have a long continuity palaeontology record. Too many unanswered questions. We are in an existential crisis of conscience. Struggling to survive as a species, with mass casualties.
The attack that David had five kids, and was able to provide five houses for them should be dropped from the dialog.
The 2 main negative issues with Guy McPherson (considered a brilliant guru by David in this video) are:
- He lies outright and hugely about two published WG1 climate science papers (both about atmospheric aerosols), and
- He has zero understanding of basic thermodynamics.
I'm not like David and the rest of you because I can't tolerate liars at all and I have little time for persons such as Guy McPherson who are totally incompetent. I realize that David and the rest of you are fine with such persons, liars and incompetents, provided they give the message that resonates with you. I've noticed that over the last 9 years. I'm very different. I'm weird. Same with Religion, I simply can't fake it and pretend that I believe all that puerile banal crap even though the rewards of that pretense are so great and the penalties of failing to join the pretense are so high. I just can't stomach liars and incompetents, so I'm entirely different from all of the rest of you humans as I've increasingly discovered. And that's that.
Just wait, you'll end (literally) in a few years saying "Guy was right".
I remember reading a Reader's Digest article a few years back where David Suzuki and his cohorts said they were all laughing at all the things they thought to be true 50 years ago. Obviously we will all be laughing at all the crap he is spewing now in a few years.

Could we all transition to fully renewably powered electricity... which is now cheaper than fossil fuel electricity...powering all our cooling, heating, industry and transportation...where we transition our economy to a cradle to cradle certified circular economy regenerating the world with regenerative agriculture? There are now thousands of Cradle to Cradle Certified products, renewables are booming all over the world and Tesla's production is escalating too.

However this is the opposite view of Stanford's professor of engineering Dr. Mark Jacobson, Amory Lovins, Jeremy Rifkin, William McDonough and Michael Braungart. Who all have calculated we have an abundance of renewable energy available we just need to connect our infrastructure to these natural energy flows. Global industry is presently doing this and connected 260 GW of renewables in 2020.

Phasing out fossil fuels with abundant renewably powered electricity is a massive start and good strategy for the global economy.

Dr David I been listening to you since I was young and even then I always wondered why don’t you talk about climate change and where are planet is going, YOU NEVER talk about Methane gas that is 100 percent more powerful then CO2 , you never talk about in 1960 or 1980 how the planet will get warmer, you new all of this, and yes Guy McPherson did talk about you and how you are not saying anything because your getting a paycheck, you made your money and now your opening your mouth, well yes now it is to late for you to open your mouth and say all this, Like Guy McPherson said try counting your money while holding your breath, Dr David you were not part of the solution you were part of the problem, Guy McPherson talk about scientists like you who withhold information to make money and now you think you could get on RUclips and act like you didn’t know nothing!!!!!!!

We would have respected nature if we had control, but the selfish and greedy built a horrible world. I weep that we lost the benefit of the American Indians culture. The Japanese and Chinese are closer to nature in their projects. they have respect for nature. These are the last days. In Genesis, humans were given dominance of the world. That authority is ending. We knew in 1965 that our actions were causing problems in the atmosphere. We should have went totally to electric cars and developed a better thing than plastic. But oil companies and the rich said no! Now we see the results!

I've always been shocked about the profound hatred Suzuki has towards the human race. Comparing humans to fruit flies! Always complaining that there is too much human beings on the planet destroying the environment. Yet he has 5 children. When you look carefully at the lifestyle of those financing and promoting the global warming propaganda ( Al Gore, the British Royals, Suzuki to name a few) it is as if what they are preaching does not apply to them.

yes,i get what your saying but for sure their are too many on this planet he had 5 children and considering his age that was not uncommon for his time,he has acknowledged his contribution to the carbon problem,he was more involved with the environmental movement which seemed to be a bigger issue back then,climate change has proven to be a bigger threat than pollution even though its linked but an oil spill though horrible would have less overall consequences for the planet than climate change,the human race and mainly developed countries are responsible for this,as far as hating the human race their are many in power and many who have denied and benefitted from the fossil fuels that have polluted and ruined the climate,whats not to hate about being deceived by a hairless ape in a suit
