Seeing Anno go from doing fan films on 8mm film to rebuilding all the classic tokusatsu on giant screens is strangely inspiring
He worked hard to get to where he is now. living the dream of any Toku fan. it really brings a tear to your eye thinking what's going through his mind while being able to officially work on the very franchises that inspired him
@HJHJ HJHJ Shin Godzilla and Ultraman already did great and respected the source material. Anno has been a fan since he was a kid, I believe he'll do it justice, besides we've hardly seen anything. I Guess why would you say pretentious per say? I thought it was more of him taking kamen rider more seriously besides his goofy roots

@@justinnelson5960 I believe Anno said in a press conference that he and the studio are gonna try to push for a global release. Anno really wants to share his love for Kamen Rider with the rest of the world and hope that a more diverse audience will feel the same.

I'm planning to buy stocks in Lionsgate films just so I can have enough say in the company to see if we could negotiate with Toei to have this as well as Shin Ultraman released in the states.

i love that you know it takes place in modern times, but they were able to throw some 70s asthetics and it mesh really well, be it the clothes or the Rider Suits which (besides the Trenchcoats which i theorize Hongo and Ichimonji keep because they cant fully revert to their human forms, so they use these to hide their Armors) are basically the original designs, but with just enough modern asthetics add to enhance them without going overboard. They basically took the best of the original suits designs and of the ''The First/The Next'' suits designs and made the perfect middle ground
@@DarkAnon100 The Shocker Kaijin aesthetics are really interesting as well, with the extremely modern mask and helmet designs on Spider (and maybe Wasp?) compared to the very retro designs of the Riders. The rest of Spider's costume being essentially streetwear gives him a very distinctive and cool look.

Proving once and for all that the themes of the show are timeless. It takes more than a coat of paint to make something this hype.

can't stop replaying the first half of the trailer. The color grading, music, and forlorn headshots. looks like they're diving straight into the psyche of a lone hero with the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Unfortunately, without telling any Western releaser, they made a contract with Amazon Prime to distribute it only on streaming. And we don't know in WHICH countries it will be available. As usual, a typical Toei move.

Its kind of strange since I grew up on Dragon Knight where they were connected to a mirror dimension thing and have relatively supernatural powers.
To think the original was more of a cyborg with a helmet who became a vigilante
@@kennethsatria6607 i understand you, but about the concept of Dragon Knight is pretty much close to its original counterpart, Ryuki, but instead of fighting aliens, it's a battle royale.
The combination of nostalgia and new generation is beautifully displayed in this trailer I'm genuinely shocked at how good it looks 😄

I am so excited for this!!! Long before being a huge fan of Anno's work I was already a huge Kamen Rider fan (starting with watching Kamen Rider Black on Brazilian televisionn), and now seeing this project slowly coming together is like a dream. I love how this feels very close to its origins/roots, both the manga and tokusatsu film-making involved, I'm sure it's going to be awesome!

After watching the Amazons reboot (And Shin Godzilla, and Eva rebuilds) I'm very excited in whichever direction Hideaki Anno goes with the Kamen Rider concept and his own "Shin" cinematic universe
