Carnivores relying on other players for food is what makes The Isle special so in terms of that I like the no AI more players server idea. But we need a better diet system for it to be really good. Because I don't like that carnivores can sustain themselves on each other, they need to increase herbivore population by making them more fun first, then make carnivores rely on herbivores more through a completely different diet system and also make it so that preffered prey gives all 3 nutrients by default while making non preffered prey only give 1 of the 3 nutrients or still all 3 but a lot less than the preffered ones, so the preffered prey are actually just "preffered" instead of "obligatory". It would be a lot more fun and we wouldn't need AI.
Yeah this is what I've been saying for some time, really almost everything they have added should be preferred and not a need. Like even migration, seems like if you don't go there then you can plan on eating grass for your survival lol
I was thinking about that a while ago how the diet system really could improve with some changes for herbivores it’s more down to location and I think it goes without saying that carnivores have it harder like your diet is directly linked with the population of the server like if I spawn in are there enough individuals of the species on my diet or are they so small they barely feed me or are too big to basically hunt or even just finding herbivores across the array of beautifully barren habitats of the map so I kind of think this is more of other issues in the game that helps in this case like a majority of the population of players being carnivores
Tbh I would play herb more but what makes me not want to play is the whole migration system it's just walking sim cuz all the all the carnis are just playing death match in hot spots while herbis are forced to move like I hardly get any action at all so I just play carni atp migration system ruined any motivation for me to play herbi

I feel like the reason the Devs are struggling with AI so much because they're trying to do everything by scratch and that's nice and all, but they also need to take inspiration from other games that have the right mind about it, especially games like Wolf Quest Anniversary, were they got the behavior of the AI Animals pretty well balanced and working pretty well. If they took some pointers from it, we'd might actually see some working AI by now perhaps lol.
They really need to look somewhere for inspiration and help I agree. So many games have complex systems like "sons of the forest" and they work like a dream
If thers something i learned on my 10000+ hours on The Isle is that the devs cannot fix something without breaking something in return, i noticed that we wont break our legs so easily like before, also noticed alot of new rocks, like we didnt had enough to block us, make us fly into oblivion or just make us stuck between them and a random tree, also fps improved a bit but with the cost of rendering and sound bugs, you can now hear a deino moving inside of the water for some reason, diets for herbivores now bugs to extent where every kind of food looks the same so you dont even know where your diet is, you need to restart the game and pray it fixes itself, also dont know why they took the dam at north, i wont even try to understand, lets wait for the next one and see. They used the excuse that it's because of the way the game was coded before, and I did understand it but then why is it still like this in Evrima? Almost like they used the same technique to code or just lied lol

while i love the new plants, the new rocks are so awful and buggy, im glad you can put food on them but theres so many that just stop you dead in your tracks that you cant see in the undergrowth, and some of the bigger ones you can barely walk on you just kind of jitter and slide despite it being a flat-ish surface
Not sure if you know (I assume you do) but the reason you got glitched of the stego at the end was because you can’t pounce the head now, also what’s the the FPS, mine has gotten better
Yeah I know about the no head pounce, but it the heat of the moment as it turned I tried pouncing it's front leg, and it latched me on but then said no 😔
1st life - almost grown fought a teno for 10 mins, then sound bug, then carno came, then crash, then dead. 2nd life - died eating as a baby 3rd life - omni cannied me for intestines.
@@ucjgaming Sound bug gave me an error, but i was able to click ok on it and continue playing without sound (was in mid fight), game crashed to desktop 10-20 seconds later. Played for about 2-3 hrs.

Got killed by a stego 20 yards away on my 10% deino in the marsh. Got stuck in a rock on the east plains spawn. Dehydrate 50 yards from the highlands lake. Was chilling in the west plains river @ 70% prior to the update. Elite fish are crazy fast for a fresh deino. Pretty much have to herd them onto land. Hard to find my way back into the game after this update.
The worst bug is the Deino being able to be heard underwater from Land Dinos. Makes it impossible to be stealthy at all. So, with no AI on top of that, dont even bother playing Deino.
irt the map changes, i notice all the rocks they added are doing the same thing that they did in legacy: making going downhill a constant gamble when your dino detaches from the ground over and over. was not expecting the return of that problem, lol.
The servers arnt ready for 150 players XD no ai feel roughs when starting out i hate that they cant get rid of hot spots like half the server is just in south so i hardly even notice a diff in players pop everywhere else
Yeah easy plains and south plains now are just hot spots, still not spread around the map well enough 😕 and some ai at least for when you start off is a good idea

In the end, it did not glitch you off. You just can't pounce animals by the heads. You can however pounce from the back and get on the back of the animal.

Yeah with all the smaller playables like dryo and hypsi being locally extinct from a majority of the game along with ptera I really can only see Herrera as a juvi/fish/scavenging specialist for the most part
Honestly that says more about the İ9, not that the game doesn't use more CPU than it used to but my overclocked Ryzen 5 5600x with a tower cooler isn't minding it all that much even after my GPU upgrade.

In any case, Im running a way worse op than I9 and no water cooling 😛 If I turn stuff down I can get it to like 77-85c >>>>TLDR
these devs are a joke its AI other games do it easy but nooooo not the isle they struggle with everything. If the new stuff is not broken they go and break something old what isn't broken at all and give themselves more problems.
