The reed organ is a rather young instrument. It was first by Alexandre Debain in 1840 in France, who patented his Harmonium in Paris on August 9, 1840. In this instrument he used a pressure winding system, with free reeds. Since that time his invention is used by many others. While The invention of the piano is credited to Bartolomeo Cristofori (1655-1731) of Padua, Italy, who was employed by Ferdinando de' Medici, Grand Prince of Tuscany, as the Keeper of the Instruments. ... He used his knowledge of harpsichord keyboard mechanisms and actions to help him to develop the first pianos......... So its not a precursor to the piano if thats what you mean. Im Indian BTW. But if you mean that it was a precursor to synthesizers then you would be partially correct. Would love to hear back from you on this.
Guitar like instrument (long) - Sitar Violin like instrument with more strings - Sarangi Drums with bubble sound effect - Tabla Keyboard with the air blow - Harmonium Thanks and cheers Geeks-a-musing.. Doing a great job 👍🏻👍🏻
That instrument with the bellows in the back that need to be pumped, like on an accordion, or a church organ. Alexandre-François Debain (6 July 1809 - 3 December 1877) was a French inventor who developed the harmonium. He made a new action system, in which, when depressing a note on the keyboard, a valve opened thereby emitting sound from the instrument. He patented it in Paris in 1842. It was basically a smaller version of an organ or a piano, about the width of the keyboard Tushar usually plays, with two foot pedals doing the pumping. It was easier to move around than a regular organ, but still not small enough to travel well. Within the next 15 to 20 years it got smaller. Small enough to fold up and carry like a suitcase. Around that time, after the first Indian war of revolution in 1857 ended, the British Queen took over running India, after taking it away from the British East India Company, and becoming titled the Empress of India and the British Empire. Soon after the Suez Canal was opened in 1869 making the trip 6,000 miles shorter by not having to travel on a sailing ship all the way around Africa. This made it a lot easier for British and European women to travel to India to meet and marry British and European soldiers stationed there. Along with them came a strong push of Christian missionaries. These missionaries wanted a musical instrument they could carry on a ship to India and carry around in the heat and humidity of India to accompany themselves while they sang their hymns.. The harmonium did the trick. The harmonium caught on in India better than Christianity did and Indians began using it and building it and making improvements to suit themselves. But, not everyone was happy with the introduction. Many professional learned Indian Classical Musicians said it had no place in Indian music, much less Indian Classical music because it was too stiff tonally, it couldn't bend sounds like Indian instruments could. All India Radio (A.I.R. Sort of the Indian BBC or NPR) banned the harmonium from its programming from 1940 to 1980. But, Indians took to it like Americans took to the guitar. And by post Independence 1947 the young dudes and dudettes forming their little 3 or 4 piece bands had to have a harmonium player, along with a singer, and a tabla player (the two "bubbly" drums). A flute player was a bonus. Sometimes the singer played their own harmonium, so add a tabla player who can sing too and you've got a power duet. People forming bands with their friends are still using the tablas and harmonium today.
The instrument which Tushar used is call "Harmonium" very popular in India. And the other drums that's being used in all videos is called "Tabla" Memories it 😋
That Drum thing is known as "Tabla" and that key board thing is "Harmonium". And that Guitar thing is "Veena" all these are indian Traditional instruments.
The instrument that tushar was playing is called Harmonium and it was in use way way before keyboard. The instrument that gave the droplet sound is called Tabla, jordan that instrument like guitar is called Sitar its an instrument which can infuse emotion and if u wanna play with minors its the best.
