I have the CVLife 6-24x50 on my .270 long range rifle. I got it knowing it was a less expensive option, but I do like it. The difference in magnification is kinda upsetting but I have found with my CVLife, you have to adjust the front focus (objective lens) to best match the distance you are trying to focus on, then adjust the eye piece focus. It’s a little more time consuming but I’ve found it’s like driving a manual car, it’s more involved thus more fun lol. This is a very good comparison though, good video. I would say that the CVLife is a good scope at a cheap price that will get you out to 500+ yards easy, you just have to fiddle with the focus. Mine has no problem holding zero even with the respectable kick of a .270.
You didn't mention what the size of the objective lenses were on the other scopes. If they are smaller than 50, is it possible this gives the impression of greater magnification? Also, just saying, there's such a thing as video editing software. Saves your viewers having to sit idly while you fiddle around.
Well maybe if he had opened the window and screen the optic may have worked better as far as the clarity issue...dirty screen and window doesn’t help the honest evaluation...
That rainbow color effect is called chromatic aberration. It is due to cheap lens that are not coated at all or coated improperly to keep all the wavelengths of light in synch with each other.
Under normal circumstances I'd agreed but on this occasion nope....it's the crap on the window that's diffracting the light, which is also apparent when viewed directly from the camera.
I understand what you're saying & yes, there's clearly a difference in the Target/ocular relationship, but his isn't a good scientific example.......the last two scope examples (on my screen) have 158mm & 123mm ocular diameters respectively, proving a difference in camera lens magnification which would significantly effect the result.
CV Life 6-24x50 Max FOV 28' @ 100 yd Burris Fullfidld IV 4-16x50 Max FOV 26' @ 100 yd Their claims for field of view and magnification are not possible. My guess is it's closer to a 4-16×50 than a 4-20x50. On 24x at 25 yards i can see the edges but not the corners of a 12" target with my Weaver V24 (Japan). At 50 yards 20x is about as high as I can at my current skill level. I tend to chase the crosshairs above that as I haven't mastered breaking the shots between heartbeats.
It`s part of you get what you pay for. Most I heard say that the actual X-power varies scope to scope ,I have a 6x32 scope and it zooms good but is it real 32x I dont know but it looks good. Might be an assembly issue with that one. More like improperly made part. Ive heard of people doing warranty with these scopes but is it worth it in the long run , cheaper to buy another $45 scope.
gun fisher sorry to be kinda rude but the 6x32 means 32 objective lens diameter and the 6 means that the target appears 6 times closer than the naked eye
He he maybe but to be honest it does take a fair amount of torque on that ring for it to move but I bet it will get smoother over time as the scope was only used once.
Actually that does not work that way. If you notice the magnification numbers are printed on the ring itself, the same ring the thumb push is on, the ring including the thumb push is all once piece. So if you loosen the set screw and move the ring around so the thumb push goes over the top you'd also be causing numbers not to align with the dot on the scope body. They'd end up under the bottom and you wouldn't be able to tell what magnification you have it set at. I have other CVLife scopes and love them, their thumb push on the power ring all go over the top like every other scope in the world. How they ended up with this one going under the scope I have no clue but they really need to fix it. It's a very nice scope and they now offer both this original model and a newer version with upgraded multi-coated lens optics for a few dollars extra. But this thumb push going under the body of the scope instead of over it and not going to a true 24x as advertised are both issues they should have resolved long ago along with the fairly crappy mounting rings they come with which is the source of most negative reviews on this scope, swap to good quality scope rings and it's a very nice scope that will hold a perfect zero as long as your ok with the magnification topping out more around 15-18x rather than the advertised 24x and this weird thing with the thumb push being in the wrong location causing it to go under the scope body. All they would need to do would be to rotate the power ring to the correct position before printing the magnification numbers on it, then mount it so it's aligned properly.
Far better than using those LAME High Mount INDIVIDUAL Scope Mounts that are Flimsy with only TWO Mounting SCREWS Per Ring (that will loosen too easily), I used a Low Profile ONE PIECE Cantilever Base on my 20" AR-15 Long Ranger Sniper Match Rifle! Each mounting Ring has SIX Hexhead Screws!. I can't afford a Vortex 6-24X x 50 as a retired senior Vet. and this scope is a damn nice "clone". With 77gr Hornady Boat-tail Match Ammo I get 4" groups a 1 Klick!

Do you have to adjust again if the animal is at 25 yards vs 100 yards. Back and forth?

As far as FOCUS the filmy window leaves alot to be desired!! Mine is as clear as my Tasco Scope of the same Magnification...

Did you adjust the parallax. It’s the front lense adjustment. It should fix this.

It's a $50 scope man what can you expect. I mean I definitely understand what you saying and agree but you get what you pay for! Thank brother

I got one and it does not do what yours is doing. At 100 yards it is pretty good.

How to use the scale below the cross hairs in the scope view?
Thats what I want to know too...

With those thump tabs for magnification just loosen the set screw and turn it

La mira telescópica sirve para un rifle de nitro piston
nearly all budget optics lie about the magnification
I have the CVlife 3x9x40 and it seems blurry and im only shooting at 15 yards and I have it on 3 and not zoomed in I can't get it to focus
You have to set the front to 15 then focus it by the eye peice. If I can read plates numbers at 500 yrds you're doing something wrong.

Yes it's a 50$ scope you should not expect much from it.
