Highly recommend downloading a full offline NYC subway map on your phone and studying it before going! Doing that saved our asses and a lot of time. It's a super convenient system once you figure out how to read the map. (which is a LOT more expansive and nuanced than Toronto's puny 4 lines that I'm used to)

Wonderful bridge and amazing architecture
i’d recommend manhattan beach. it’s close to brighton beach, has a nice park, in the summer people barbecue there a lot, and it’s got great vibes in general. the neighborhood is rich, one of the best things to do is walk around and look at all the multimillion dollar houses. highly recommend it

You forgot Bensonhurst, Bay Ridge, Bay Parkway, Fort Hamilton, Marine Park, Gravesend, Sheepshead Bay!!! So many amazing food places, water views, and fun little cafes and lounges. I know...let me be your tour guide on your Bklyn Part II, a more comprehensive in depth look into these areas of Bklyn through the eyes of a native Brooklynite lols.
Right? I was waiting for one of these neighborhoods to pop up but sadly these usually get overlooked since they're generally not tourist locations.

8th Avenue Chinatown in Brooklyn is amazing! It's an upcoming growing chinatown in nyc, kind of chill and laid back with some great eats and markets. Also is home to Xin Fa Bakery, home of the best egg tarts(must reserve egg tarts in advance)
