I'm very appreciate the effort for this sharing this video. These guides really help to understand in the city and where to stay. Good job for the wonderful content that you share.
I honestly love every single one of your videos. You really go in depth with each borough you show, unlike other RUclipsrs where they just show “popular” places. Keep up with the awesome videos !
Brother.. this video is mind blowing. As a family, we have sat down and watched this numerous times and have put it on our list to visit for a living decision in our future. I did notice it seems more attended to couples and no so much as families. But the local spots are amazing. We cant wait for all your future guides. Hope you hit Astoria soon?? Williamsburg seems more local living than all the other districts you reviewed in the city. I know this past year you seemed stuck, your move to NY was bold but admirable and honestly you seem like you are at home brother. As a combat veteran with severe PTSD , I find myself spiritually/ mentally committing suicide daily in the situation I been in. Which is why as a family we have decided to head to NY and interact with others that are living a humble life. You and Cody are among our fav NY bloggers that give me light during my darkest hours. I am glad you found your zen brother and did the move you did ! Seems like you found your home.
Appreciate the effort you’ve put into these guides. My partner and I are heading there from Australia around Christmas and these guides really help to understand the city and where to stay.
Thanks for showing Joe's Pizza! I used to grab a slice from that location multiple times a day, then sit on the bench outside to eat. Definitely what I miss most about Williamsburg!
I'm an Aussie coming over by myself for two weeks in August and opted to stay in Williamsburg rather than Manhattan as I didn't want to do just the touristy things. Wasn't quite sure what to expect (first time in NY), but I have watched almost all of your guides and they are super informative and helpful. I've definitely added a bunch of things on my list to check out that you've recommended.
Thanks for posting. Looks like a cool place. First the artist moves in then the hipsters follow, then gentrification happens. This area is in the hipsters stage. Lots of artist in Bushwick.
Bringing my Australian family to stay in Williamsburg / NY next month. All you vids have been great. Your Aussie accent sounds British, but I won't hold that against you!
You forgot to mention that Williamsburg’s has a Hispanic area also everyone just thinks Williamsburg’s is all hipster and Hasidic what about the Hispanic people that been here for years ?? So I guess they not part of Williamsburg’s.. I am not going at you I just want people to know that Williamsburg’s has Hispanic people here and some blacks
TheTravelingClatt yeah but there is some Hispanic around there.. I live not to far from you or Bedford but you forgot to mention that Williamsburg has a Apple store and a Whole Foods Levi store Martin boots store and have you check out the dollar pizza by marcy train station??
Check out "Williamsburg Brooklyn then and now/My Mother and her friends" my very good documentary film (that was screened at the 2017 Williamsburg Film Festival) here on You Tube along with "Here Goes The Neighborhood" my newer documentary film about Greenpoint Brooklyn. Thank you to all who view my documentaries here. Enjoy.
Anyone mentioning McCarren park without acknowledging the enormous public swimming pool must be a newcomer. 2 months is not enough time tenure to be giving a real guide to Williamsburg
Do I have to be ironically dressed and carry around a typewriter while listening to a record on a turntable with headphones in the park? 😆thanks for the tour, tal! 👍🏼
Been living in NY for a few months and this is a great guide to keep in mind for exploring this area, thank you! Do you have any additions already now that it’s been a few months?:)
Dang. When I lived in Brooklyn--long long long before the term "hipster" was coined--it was just a bunch of neighborhoods with their own flavor, kind of run down, mostly families who'd immigrated a generation before now established out there. I went to Pratt so Brooklyn was home for 4 years.
@@TheTravelingClatt they're relatively unexplored areas by tourists since they're very south from the center but a vibrant seaside area of Brooklyn from where I'm from
Good morning Tal! 551st view, 58th like and 29th comment today. Would have never guesses your favorite poke (spelled right?) bowl place would be there 😎😎 Such a diverse and interesting place. Good to see you... less than 500 to go!!!!
What’s this buses with the graffiti all about? I live in the area and I pass it by a lot it looks like abandoned buses with graffiti all over it and broken mirrors I never understood the concept of it, what’s interesting about it?
Oh man! I love your videos man! Keep it up.. I would seriously love to do a guest episode with you and do my neighborhood of Bushwick/Ridgewood! Brooklyn/Queens. Please hit me up! @Paulyshambles I work at a Michelin Star Restaurant so that fact that you were doing food reviews was super dope 👌👍🔥 NYC is great and I hope your channel does very well
Like that Greenpoint still has an old school feel to it on certain blocks. Traditionally a big Polish community
Peter Luger!! Definitely worth mentioning for a splurge meal and classic NYC establishment

I really want to live in NYC when I'm older and your videos helped me a lot! Thank you for being so entertaining and informative
I’ve been to NYC countless times but I always overlook neighborhoods like Williamsburg. I definitely have to check it out in person. Thanks, Tal!!!
It's great! I love it here

Williamsburg is the place I love chilling around at.
Thanks for showing Joe's Pizza! I used to grab a slice from that location multiple times a day, then sit on the bench outside to eat. Definitely what I miss most about Williamsburg!
Yes it's soooo good
Domino Park looks awesome!! Just added that to my map... can't wait to get to NYC!!
It's great!
probably the most informative Williamsburg guide on YT. very helpful! thanks!
Thanks Vanessa!

Great you are enjoying where you actually live and great information for anyone moving to NYC.
Love it!
i would really like to know more about night life in NYC specially about hipster/alternative/ indie bars and parties
Yeah. Hipster bars would be good. Always good to know where to avoid.
You're lucky you're near it all! Samoa's are my fav girl scout cookie! Love all the artwork!
Mmm soooo good
South Williamsburg still has a pretty big Puerto Rican community
I love the street art. I'll be going to check it out in the summer. Great video.
Definitely do it!
@@TheTravelingClatt I'll make sure i take pictures and post them on my Facebook page @SammyLove 😏👊🙏
Very informative! Thanks for sharing! Good work on that camera mount at the beginning lol!
Haha thank you!

I lived in Williamsburg off montrose ave which has a strong mixed very diverse community 🔥
L’industrie Pizza on Havemeyer and S 2 Street is amazing
Bedford Ave is 10.2 miles .It starts in Sheepshead Bay at Emmons Ave ends at Manhattan Ave in Greenpoint.
I've been in Williamsburg for 2 months as well.. this video will be useful.
Bringing my Australian family to stay in Williamsburg / NY next month. All you vids have been great. Your Aussie accent sounds British, but I won't hold that against you!
Have great memories of growing up there. Mi barrio ya no existe.
Great job of showing three historic Brooklyn neighborhoods 💯💯
Thank you!

So I guess they not part of Williamsburg’s.. I am not going at you I just want people to know that Williamsburg’s has Hispanic people here and some blacks
It definitely does. I think for touristy purposes and the the places tourists will visit there they would encounter mostly Jews and hipsters
TheTravelingClatt yeah but there is some Hispanic around there.. I live not to far from you or Bedford but you forgot to mention that Williamsburg has a Apple store and a Whole Foods Levi store Martin boots store and have you check out the dollar pizza by marcy train station??
Apple store and whole foods aren't so important in my opinion for tourists!
Also the dollar pizza off Marcy is ehhhh
I used to live on South first between Bedford and Driggs for 27 years. A majority of my life experiences are in Williamsburg
can't wait for queens
Coming soooon
Joe’s Pizza is a 29 minute guarantee, man.
Im not from New York. But if it's "Hipster Paradise" then that ain't an original authentic place to be. Sounds like a gentrified tour to me

You have to try actual Hawaiian poke at Tamura's if you ever come! Haha love this, heading to NYC in a week
Haven't tried it there but I love Hawaiian Poke' and actively seek it out.
You’re awesome.
You are awesome! :)
Anyone mentioning McCarren park without acknowledging the enormous public swimming pool must be a newcomer. 2 months is not enough time tenure to be giving a real guide to Williamsburg
Is Brooklyn Brewery an interesting bar or mostly a tourist trap?
awesome video

No! That's the best part!
