Playing suggestion:
If you have small hands like me and can't reach the octave + 2range, play the bottom note, then a 3rd above it (play whatever white key is the 3rd above and you won't have to worry about major/minor) and then play an octave above the bottom note. Sounds perfect and shortens the stretch to a reach I can manage.

You either play the song without the melody (which is the singing part) or not. If you play without melody, you don't completely play the base notes like C, D, A, F, G. If you don't want to play the melody and play it like a backing track, just don't play the singing part (melody). Simplez.

if you just play the chords, which is what I do since I'm wanting to do a cover of this, its not hard at all you can even use both hands; the right ride can actually be done with just 4 fingers. this song is actually pretty simple if you practice it. I've seen some way more intense stuff out there lol
