    Hi Brendon, I took the Certiport Excel the other day and failed with a 56%. Granted, I did have many problems with my internet connection, but I was still unfamiliar with the material. After a day of watching your videos, I passed with 96%. Thank you for the help. You would be a great University professor on this subject.

    Made an 825 out of 1000 on my Excel 2019 thanks to your 2016 excel videos and this 2019 video I learned so much and can understand what questions asked of me thanks to your teaching. Due to this video showing the functions they wanted I was able to answer them properly instead of using a different formula function that would have been incorrect to what they wanted.

    Your video has done remarkably good job for my exam. I got 897 marks. Thank you I finished just before 5 minutes, 6 projects, 36 questions...yea screen sometimes becomes slow, each sheet open when I click twice, generally excel opens in one click.

    Many thanks Brendan, your videos where very helpful. I passed the MO-200 yesterday got 890. Keep up the amazing work!!!!
    I have booked my MO-201 for next 2 weeks, but good resources are limited and in the UK they are still shipping the old 2016 guide, so its difficult to map the content from the 2019 guide.

    • @Brendan_Sinclair
      @Brendan_Sinclair  4 года назад

      @K Barnaby this is awesome news! Congrats! For the MO-201 exam have you looked into this book MOS Study Guide for Microsoft Excel Expert Exam MO-201: amzn.to/3aX8uAs? You will want to make sure that you are ready for this exam. It is going to be much more difficult than the MO-200 exam. You might also want to look into the GMetrix.com software to test your skills. You will want to make sure that you carefully review the exam domains and make sure that you feel comfortable with all of the functions as well as advanced customization. Here is a link to the exams page docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/certifications/exams/mo-201. It has a link at the bottom of the page that lists out all of the domains and the functions that you could be asked to carry out on the exam. On the exam, you might have to read the task question two and three times before you are able to carry out the task. They are going to try and trip you up with the wording of the task question. You are also going to have to be able to make assumptions on what to do based upon the spreadsheet that they give you and the task question.

    Hi Brendan, Very informative stuff, thanks for that.
    It would be great if you also give just a brief comparison of MOS 2016 & MOS 2019
    I have noted that two new functions Len() & Textjoin() have been added in 2019 exam. Named reference is also introduced. Thanks

    • @Brendan_Sinclair
      @Brendan_Sinclair  4 года назад

      @Tauqeer Ahmed Here are the differences in the functions of the two exams.
      Excel 2016: SUMIF, AVERAGEIF, COUNTIF, PROPER, and CONCATENATE
      Excel 2019: COUNTA, COUNTBLANK, CONCAT, TEXTJOIN, and LEN
      I had recorded a video on the functions found on the 2016 exam which can be found here ruclips.net/video/GmqzinAs31M/видео.html.

    • @Brendan_Sinclair
      @Brendan_Sinclair  4 года назад

      @Vijay Chandra your keyboard might have that button programmed with a feature. Maybe there is a FN button that you need to push as well. If that still doesn’t work, you can always skip the keyboard shortcut and type the $ before the column or row.

      @Saurabh V It really depends on your situation. I know that some employers require you to have certain MOS certifications in order to be hired. I know that for myself and my students that it has opened doors of opportunity.

      @PC 1 In my worksheet, I had a named range called Monday that I had created before I began using the SUM function. You will need to create a named range in order to use the range in your function. Here is a link to an older video that I made on naming ranges ruclips.net/video/TXgvt_K52oc/видео.html.

      Yes, the TEXTJOIN function allows you to ignore empty cells, but it also allows you to add a delimiter between the cells. The CONCAT function and the CONCATENATE function do the same thing.
