Killua and kite are much more seasoned in the area of combat than Gon, and both of them would’ve known to nope tf out of there because of that. Gon does not have that sense of his sharpened as well, so the only thing he knows how to do is keep going no matter what and try again later in worst case scenario. Killua did not stop Gon from killing Pitou, he stopped Pitou from killing Gon.
