- Footage of the first 8 races in Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, as seen through Juston's Google Glass. Recorded at Dave & Busters in Houston, TX on Wednesday, March 19, 2014.
Although I lived in Japan, I want to play Mario Kart Arcade GP DX of overseas edition.
It's too bad that many people are unaware that the Japanese version of Mario Kart Arcade GP DX is objectively WAY better than the American version. In the Japanese version, you could choose what kart to drive in and what items to use. You can race against players from another world (Prefecture in this case). You can even save your progress through a Banapassport card; it's impossible to do this in America due to Bandai-Namco not bringing in a card system for saving.
Right...I also noticed that the Mini-Turbo function (also known as Drift Boosting, in this case) is absent in the American version. Why this was removed, only Bandai-Namco knows.
I mean you can download the English patcher on the Japanese one and patch it on there.
Mini-Turbos are in the American version, he just didn't use them.
Weirdly enough though wangan midnight Maximum tune uses banapass even here in the USA. A lot of the games at the round 1 arcades they have in southern California use banapass and round 1 is even in other states. I wish they would upgrade this game to use it too although maybe we will get another mario kart arcade sequel instead
@@IzaaculateMixesas far as I know that only patches text and UI, not announcer voice
This arcade is supposed to be placed in Granville Island Market, Zone Bowling Coquitlam and New Westminster Quay Market.
This is the Bandi and namco version of Mario Kart. :) They really are awesome.
The Google Glass: the future of POV filming.
And the warning said this game is only for use on Japan.
I really wish this game were on consoles. :(
Me too man
Marioman574 mario kart arcade gp 1 and 2 are both on gamecube
+Marioman574 Mario Kart 8 is way better.
ben roddison No, but they're made on GameCube hardware.
I Have Mario Kart GP 1 At My Chucke Chese
they should port this games to the virtual console
This game is awesome I play this at the Hollywood bowl arcade
Same
I played the game at Dave & Busters I played as Peach Yoshi and Luigi I wish the had Rosalina I know Rosalina is a playable character but she is downloadable but it is still a good game
I love how there's an announcer in the background in the game.
MSDKZfan 12345 the announcer is fucking trash

All of the arcade GP games have an announcer. But in Arcade GP 1, he only appears when you’re taking a picture
@@SoshiTheYoshi and im pretty sure in one of them he says something literally every time you do something. "Luigi threw a green shell!"
Played it today. WHORTH UR CASH, WHORTH UR TIME! A MUST PLAY AT THE ARCADE!
That annoying announcer guy is making this sound really dorky
you can play it now on PC ^^
anyone else picked up how ironic the announcer was at 2:22?
The announcer in this one sounds much better than the one in Arcade GP2; it's still annoying though.
Does anyone else notice that Ghostly Adventures Pac-Man has the Pac-Man Party voice?
I did. And in Japan, he has a completely different voice
why isnt the black shell in the main series
This Cost 100000090.99. No joke
I doubt an arcade game would cost that much per round.
Wanna know why?
I just played it and it was a dollar per go.
The Japanese voices are SIGNIFICANTLY better. If your interested in seeing some of the Japanese version check my uploads. Cheers.
NinjaGaijin no
no
I already defeated the American Version but if it's the JP Version like Final Mix in Pro Mode than yeah I'll take the challenge.
man id legit buy 2 of these fer the home D:
But one dx cabinet can link to four other cabinets. So like I would just use one for maybe some online wifi connectivity or something.
This Announcer is more annoying than GP2
UFFA!!!
MA IN ITALIA NO?!!!😟
This is FAKE! It is not Mario Kart unless it has BLUE SHELLS!! LOL!
No but seriously, I have seen this at the arcade but never had a chance to play. This version is definitely toned down by a lot.
Haha really? I wanna see some blue shells >:D
Randall Richardson Yeah, Its toned down for the casual arcade players.
I've played it at a D&B and it was a blast then but now we just take the Switch to Chilis to enjoy the full experience!
It actually has a blue shell as an item. I played the japanese version via Bana Passport Card and unlocked it at some time and its way overpower, because you can get it very often. Its the same with the Power Star. With this items you are nearly unbeatable. ^.^
