So all of BABYMETAL official merch in this video is the personal collection of Saki. And they're not cheap. Especially the five fox mask which you can get by buying BABYMETAL Five Fox Festival DVD box set which cost ungodly amount of money. So calling Saki a big fans is an understatement because she's more than big fans 😁.
SAKI legit has more rare BABYMETAL merch than many big fans do, and has been a fan for a really long time. Too bad she didn't do this video in the same BM cosplay that she wore when Mary's Blood covered Iijime, Dame, Zettai back in 2015. She used to wear the doodle hoodie and GIMME CHOCO! shirt all the time, but I think she's retired them by now.
Nemophila is one of the few bands that can cover Babymetal and do it justice. There’s only one Sumetal but Mayu’s vocals are also amazing. Sumetal is power and penetrating clarity while Mayu is raspiness, attitude, and of course her screams. One of my favorite bands covering my favorite band= happiness. I would like to hear (and see) BAND-MAID's cover of Megitsune or Headbanger, their vocalist Saiki has the voice to pull those songs out not to mention the rest of girls being capable to pull it out musically ✌️😄🤘
Yes. Another great cover by them. As cute as they are, Moa and Yui are still the most adorable, especially Yui. Another cover to react to would be Linkin Park's Given Up. Mayu holds the scream the full time as Chester and then a few seconds later goes to clean. I do not know how she can scream that long then have any breath to go back singing so quickly. Magz! That Marshall amp of Saki's is a special option you can get on some amsp and cabs from Marshall directly. Ornate cloth in place of the general basket weave material. Dope. More LVT and DANI please.
In this cover Mayu is actually doing all the screams. Where as in the Original, Su never does the screams / growls. They are all studio recorded backtracks.
Saki has such a unique, and recognizable half stack. First thing I noticed when i discovered her other band Mary's Blood. Which is definitely a band you should check out if you haven't already. Great reaction! 🤘🏻😎🎸🔊🎶
Sumetal claims this is one of Babymetals most difficult songs for her to sing. So of coarse it's the song she warms up with. With this song I feel it becomes a question of can they do the song justice. The way Su can power through this whole song is amazing.
I recently watched a video where it was said to be Su-metal doing a "soundcheck" singing Megitsune acapella, but now I wonder if could have also been a warm up!
I think nowadays, Shine is the most difficult one, Megitsune is a very good warm up, as she can sing some of the lowest notes and add nuances here and there to check her voice response.

Am I the only one who loves the drummer, Murata Tamu? Okay if you are going to introduce Dani to Babymetal, the obvious starter is Megitsune, But follow with Pa Pa Ya to show Su voice across the years. OR do them both in 1 video.
She's an absolute machine. I mean if it's made by Tama she can get her hands on it. Tama drums being what they are means the company can pick and choose who they back, and she is on that very short list.
Megitsune is really hard song to sing and they are pretty good covering it. me know it's not fair comparing Su and Mayu but this my take for this cover Su have the power , heaviness and commanding vocal and tone , Mayu have light , soft and good vibrato , then again me heard Mayu vocal on this cover only.
I actually hoped Mayu would go full rasp and low like her usual stuff but this was great too. The vocals are the main reason I could never get into Bsbymetal despite liking some of their instrumental sections. Pop vocals are fine but high pitch pop vocals with metal is a bit too much of a stretch for me, esp. since they do more of the idol style vocals. Karate is pretty much the only track where I had zero issues and I really love that track.
I think my favorite part is the scream during the breakdown. I love it not because it’s something new, but because it’s an actual part of the song that Mayu’s screams pulled into the foreground.

Considering this was without any choreography i would say its almost on par with studio version of megitsune. Of course with babymetal crazy live shows and dancing you cant beat that with only standing and singing.
3:15 to 4:26 lol, I'm too used to Su voice that forgot how hard this part is, it make normal Japanese girls with natural high pitched voice really struggle

Yes indeed, on the other hand SU got more range and a deeper, warmer voice. Though when you listen to the original, it usually sounds pretty high 😅.
