- Hey guys, in this video i go over how to obtain what i believe is the best free ground weapon in star trek online especially for free to play players that aren't loaded with upgrades to use on anything.

I play on console and I absolutely love anchors of grethor it just works SO well in any mass grouping of enemies.
Me, i been enjoying using Mr. Vups pistol.
It's wide spread knockdown effect without range restriction and high fire rate is just too powerful against mobs. Prone enemies cannot fire back. It's basically a weapon with a built in control effect. Not the best against Borg though because they adapt quickly to it.
I've always thought the split beam rifle had the best 2nd firing mode.
Depends on what you thinking as damage. Tommy gun is IMO the best but the new mirror Borg forces me to look for alternatives.
Great weapon, used it on my main 'till recently, replaced it with the lobi version.
Also, one of Spencer's tips is to create a toon just to open boxes, i did that and chose dsc, that mission is the first to play, meaning, the rifle will be Mk II, much easier to get to epic while upgrading.
In J'Ula's arc, the mission ,illusion of communication, there's also a phaser sniper rifle in some crates near a shuttle at the end of a path somewhat hidden.
Sweet it’s these short of things we need to share with each other, it’s just too much for one person to figure out in there own
@@Nic_NB true, i also forgot to mention that in the mission Taken by Surprise, in the last arc, when replaying it, an Anti-Borg phaser full auto rifle will be awarded at the end, very similar to this one you're talking about but also does kinetic damage vs borg...and also in that mission, if you search a body at the end of a tunnel, there's a Phaser Pulsewave assault that also does damage vs Borg (i don't care for this one, don't like pulsewave.)
@@Nic_NBas I remember that rifle was not account bound before and u could sell it,? maybe I am wrong but I remember making a lot of cash selling those phaser rifles

It's best on a Romulan due to the bonus plasma trait they have but even on my other toons it does just as much damage, well it seems to me it does anyway.
I forgot what does it... But rep gear can be made to start at UR Mk13 for 'free' because the price doesn't change. (I want to say it's a reward from doing a temporal recruit, but not sure.)
Yep, Temporal Recruit. Reward is for getting them to Tier 5 in all Reputations. If you have the chance, get it.
Thank you so much. I have been trying to figure out a good weapon to get without spending money. This will help a lot.
The special pistol and shield from "Vorgon Conclusions" are free leveling to XII, as are Leck's Knives. So you can grab them early and keep using them, the knives are really good against normal Borg. I've found the Romulan Imperial Navy Set from "Uneasy Allies" to be really effective as well, especially the Kit Frame (+Crit Chance and Severity as base stats on a Frame). Haven't tried the other mission sets in full apart from the Jem Hadar and the Na'kuhl yet.
One warning, the Na'kuhl Set is great for survival but it is NOT a free upgrade for some reason (unlike the other mission sets) so save the resources and don't rely on it for leveling.
I'm a fan of Seven's dual tetryon rifles.
Cheer Nic. Good piece of advise, a weapon I had completely forgot about when doing my F2P account for the KDF recruit. Now equipped and it does make things a bit easier.
Yes that Rife is great but for leveling the Breen Cryoshaper Set from the Winter Store in the Events Tab, which is a infinity Pistol, Shield, Kit Frame and Armour is great for leveling. At MK XV epic the pistol cause of the set bonus which double it fire rate is the highest DPS(~700 DPS base) ground weapon that i have come across.
Even better is using patrols to level up, then once lvl 65 start running campaigns.
@@BlackTownie999yes probably not the best route for first time players but for alts running patrols is the best way to level quickly

One of the most powerful ground sets, especially if combined with more cold damage kits. Only enemies it's less effective against are Breen, but you rarely ever fight those.
I haven't seen this mentioned much... The recent episode "Taken by Surprise" gives a bonus reward on repeat playthroughs, where we get a full-auto anti-Borg Phaser rifle. That's on top of the pulse rifle we can find in the Jefferies Tube.
The one you talk about in this video is fantastic though, and was my personal favorite until I replaced it with the Lobi version.
Hi, I just tried that mission twice and it didn't give an option for a full-auto anti-Borg Phaser rifle. Am I missing something?
@@HazeVanguard My apologies, that seems to have been removed as a reward. Maybe it was only a bonus when that event was live?
I was surprised when I first picked that up, I thought it was just luck of the draw, so redid the mission and was a bit disappointed I got the rare version haha.
Another good (I think) repeatable weapon drop is the mission with the borg kingdom invasion, where you have to go through the jeffries tubes with Captain Kim
There's a side tube with a dead body in it, looting him/her grants you an anti borg weapon, I think it's ultra rare too and you can redo the mission and keep getting it.
I like Seven's Dual Tetryon Rifles, there is also plasma repeater, if your going rep omega has antiproton rifle, competitive has a tetryon/kinetic or antiproton/kinetic. There is romulain flamethrower. There is also the mining laser(not the Martian one).
Server is currently down for the both world update at the moment so i can liike for the others. My go to is personally the tommy gun as its got the highest number of hits per cycle from what i can tell at x15 and with that means that applying dot damage from temporal is even better. Though flamethrower is great too. It glitches on console so its difficult to use the secondary on the flamethrower without running out of fuel
Both the plasma repeater and flamethrower get a 100% recharge with tactical - deadly intent
I love projectile weapons but look wise I like the disco rifles
Talking about farming with Jem'hadar, that would be a nice video, farming with toons.
Great video. Question, if you transport out of the mission as you did, can you get multiple of this weapon (at UR rarity) for your boffs?
You can get multiple, but not at UR. That's only the first.
would still rather get and upgrade the Plasma Piercing Beam Rifle since I dont have to slog through the misson one red alret weekend gold upgrade token and its done too.

Armour not 100% sure on that one just yet want to try a few ones out, but shields is nakual shield with the weapon for the 2pc from temporal front
Burnham's armor when dsc rep is available, before i had it i used the Romulan Imperial from Uneasy allies...the Romulan Operative gives crit chance but the other stats are quite meh

The red Angel armor is one of the best if you have issues dying because the armor will resurrect you

Yeah theres a slightly better version in lobi

What is the gun that your character had before he picked up the Phaser Full Auto?
It was from a rep box
For me it’s the Jem’Hadar full auto rifle
