It's all down to what you want out of a shoe, Vans although they don't last that long and have little in the way of "protection" (G2 pads, air sole, extra padded inner etc etc) there is no other shoe that gives so much board feel and therefore control, this is why they're so popular and have been for so many years.
as much as i don't like how that guy responded i do agree, vans are the shit, i am currently skating my first pair and loving em, they haven't ripped that much to my standards of how any shoe rips, and i have landed primo and it wasn't that bad, what most people don't realize that if you get the pro version of the vans shoe, they are much better
now this is real street skate complete with the traffic dangers,they need to add that to the street league to make it legit street skatin,have a road with cement mixers rolling around
