After updating the BIOS to address the Intel bug affecting the 13900+ CPUs, the game made a strong first impression with its gameplay. The immersion factor is exactly what I hoped for-challenging and fun, with a world that begs to be explored. However, I’m putting this game on hold until it’s optimized. It performs poorly on an RTX 3080 paired with a 13900 Core i9 at max settings (sub-25 fps at 4K with DLSS on performance). The optimization is lacking, reminiscent of Cyberpunk’s initial release. Would also be nice if enemy humans couldn't spot you so easily as they can currently, especially when they randomly spawn in around you.

People saying this is game of the year really need to get of the hypetrain. Atmosphere is nice and some elements are cool but it´s so not optimized, non existing A-life, mediocre graphics at best...we shouldn´t applaud for unfinished releases. I hope the potential of this game will be fully reached and gets the CP2077 treatment.
Great game, but the release state is unforgivable. Paying full price for something that is damn near unplayable right now for me is flat out unacceptable. Again it’s a good game but it shouldn’t be released yet.
At first I couldn’t get the game to run correctly and one of the first thing I did was turn on the hdr so the first hour I played this the graphics looked like garbage and was telling me how is this unreal 5 and during fight scenes the fps was dropping to 10 fps, and turned off the game for the night disappointed, but the next day I fixed all the performance issues but something was still off with the graphics so the I decided to check and hdr turned itself off somehow but once I turned it on I was like holy shit !! Especially during the storms at night on my asus pg32ucdm oled.. can’t wait to get out of work to get back at it lol😂.
I'm seeing a lot of 1 star reviews on Xbox but I don't get it I've had no problems at all apart from 1 character sinking into the floor a little bit when I talked to him but I honestly just thought it was funny 😂 I seen someone complaining about invisible enemies and white dots on their screen and just facepalmed, poor kid obviously didn't know what he was getting himself into😆 I think it's slightly unfair to give a game a one star review just because you're bad at it.
As great as this game is i can already see them "fixing" it to quiet the kind of players that want everything handed to them. That kind of gamer that never finishes a game and has 100s of unfinished games that they, along with all the others like them, complain until they get the best games ruined then move onto the next one. I really hope I'm wrong but I've seen it happen to every single truly great game since they ruined boss soul weapons and blind summoning in the original Dark Souls.

I'm absolutely loving it, liked I expected to. I've been one of the lucky ones and have great performance and zero detrimental bugs so far. My main complaint is that the hard difficulty makes nearly all of the mutants absolute bullet sponges. I died to a bloodsucker in the prologue about 9 times because a single hit from it would take away 90%, and since then I've found that a single bloodsucker takes a solid 15ish buckshot shells to kill... and I've ran into groups of 2-3 of them.

I'm glad this game is free from the DEI filth..
this is my first ever stalker game so im really excited to explore the world but on pc i have really bad performance issues i have a 4060 and im running the game at the medium settings
Finally this game gives me a reason to play my series x 😂
Mad respect to the devs for on releasing on GOG
Man WTF at 5:00 ?!? How you gonna do that !?!?
You wanted it to be a broken mess? Just kidding, to be fair I'll give it a hot minute to settle but then I'll be very excited to dive in to this
Idk, game just doesn’t feel right on xbox, somethings off. Really wanna get into it but the graphics feel too dated and not optimized.
I must be lucky but in the 7 hours I've played it i haven't had one glitch
Game of the year wow cool game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the Xbox Series S the graphics are very poor. The game is probably 480p 😅 I don't even want to play this because graphics
CHEEKI BREEKI I V DAMKI!
*Hardbass and hopak intensifies*
It really makes you FEEL like stalker
I'm seeing a lot of 1 star reviews on Xbox but I don't get it I've had no problems at all apart from 1 character sinking into the floor a little bit when I talked to him but I honestly just thought it was funny 😂 I seen someone complaining about invisible enemies and white dots on their screen and just facepalmed, poor kid obviously didn't know what he was getting himself into😆 I think it's slightly unfair to give a game a one star review just because you're bad at it.
I saw a one-star review on Xbox with a player complaining that there was no flashlight in the game
Game needs a lot of work but I like the vibe, pretty jank though
The stupid ai i've seen pushed me away, will come back later if they get it fixed
Great !!! Thanks
Huh, you play in Ukrainian. People are saying that Ukrainian voice localisation is better that is strange as most likely EN were a priority as everyone outside of UA would play with it
WHATS THE INTRO SONG PLS. WITH THAT BEAUTIFUL ASS PIANO
Oof, I see some yellow tutorial paint there.
@@bannedmann4469 you can turn off in settings
You can turn it off completely in the settings!
Im about 8 hours in and loving it too... just got the viper upgraded with a holosight and laser... a few bugs like an ai dying who glitched out and an npc needed for a quest took awhile to appear despite the marker being there but the gameplay is fantastic... my frames are good but im bruteforcing with a 4090 in 4k on epic settings.
The dislike of this game is confusing. This game is well crafted, not perfect
most of the dislikes seem to be people thinking this is a fallout like game which it is not
Just wish it came with a new pc as mines on fire 💀🤣
To think this is the early build is insane
@@mrstronk This is the final product bud
I'm absolutely loving it, liked I expected to. I've been one of the lucky ones and have great performance and zero detrimental bugs so far. My main complaint is that the hard difficulty makes nearly all of the mutants absolute bullet sponges. I died to a bloodsucker in the prologue about 9 times because a single hit from it would take away 90%, and since then I've found that a single bloodsucker takes a solid 15ish buckshot shells to kill... and I've ran into groups of 2-3 of them.
This is the culmination of all the modding the Stalker community put into the previous games.
CheekiBreeki²
A jacked up Fallout.... Absolute dirt..
how would you compare it to the Gamma and Anomaly gameplay wise ?
Not at all. Gamma is a hardcore survival mod pack. Stalker 2 has more of a focus on narrative. It's closer to the original games than Gamma by miles.
@@actualteddybear891 go play TRUE STALKER mod, it's basically stalker 2
@@actualteddybear891if you like gamma you’ll like this
Gamma and Anomaly have been in development for nearly 15 years and have had between 600 - 1000 people working on it. Calm down with that kind of question
@@s3m4jno5w4d dude it's not like gamma and Anomaly brought about a resurrection of the game that led to the hype of stalker 2...
Brilliant game, they nailed it. The atmosphere and combat is very fun. It'll improve given time also!
People are saying the a life ai system is either bugged or just not there at all. Can someone confirm?
@@k9vendettathewolfofmordor529 Difficult to say about a-life in general, but it does randomly spawn a couple of bandits at your face in certain areas which is annoying. The spawn is not consistent though, you may just reload.
Boring ass game
I have great FPS. 12700K, 32G DDR5, XFX Merc 319 7800XT. Playin on 1440p.
I got to play for 3 and a half hours last night after work and I will be doing the same tonight!!
Anything to get off COD. Game looks killer
Incredible game even with classic bugs 😂
Thanks for your review ❤
Having watched SkillUp's review as well, I'm not sure 'Fantastic' is the correct description. So many bugs and technical issues it put's me off.
You can always trust Skillup for an Honest review 👍🏻
It's free on GP, so I'll be having a dabble meself
Using one reviewer as omen is the downfall of 90% of people
True, but not only was it very extensive, he was playing on a very powerful PC (more powerful than most have got) and it was very in depth. I’m sure it will become good over time.
@@steveb3944 His exact PC Build, at 40-50 fps on a 13900k, 4090, was what I was getting 170fps on (DLSS Quality)
Shill up had a bad take.
Ah, another Cope review. It's buggy, it's runs horrible, the AI is horrible, we're so back baby!
You haven't played it. Talking out yer a$$
yeah, great 'dynamic-ness' - ai encounters spawning within 50m from you, most of the time bugged or glitched into the ground. suuuper dynamic and immersive yeah
It’s ok, it plays like a last gen game. The controls are terrible. They should have made it more like Tarkov are far as survival.
😂😂😂😂 said no stalker fan EVER.
you wanted a buggy broken mess? weird tastes
Regurgitating youtuber takes? You haven't played it, anime kid. This is for adults anyway. Back to fortnite and cod with you.
Dude, all reviews report this game is not a finished product! You played a different game?!
@@caerbenogg what are you talking about. Stop being a hater. I've seen many videos, no one is saying is incomplete but rather bugs and frame clipping.
@@caerbenogg if he's only played it with 12 hours he's likely played it with more patches.
I encountered very few bugs. I have a good PC, but I have no idea if that is part of the equation.
Huge spoilers at 5:00.
It’s a wizard of oz ripoff.
Bro, maybe in a year or so. Its so broken and unfinished
Looks like Day Z.
Stalker has been around a lot longer then DayZ lol but yeah imagine if DayZ was single player, had a story, strictly FPS and instead of zombies, you have nuclear monsters and I'd say yeah you're pretty much on the right track with that comparison lol
Sign me up then
Lucky you. Even though it "released," an hour and a half ago, Xbox STILL says its too early. Typical broken BS.
@@gixxer6rdr229 it releases in 10 minutes brother
My mate has been playing it for the past hour on Xbox, i'm still installing it. Neither of us have actually bought it.
He said there isn't a deadzone setting so if you have any stick drift you're gonna need to use a low sense, just so you know.
Can't turn off motion blur either...🤮
Nah ... Hard pass.
What makes you think it's not worth it? I'm not saying you're wrong or anything, but what makes it that way
@catc15engine it just seems flat... I don't like these type of games. It is like Fallout. To me is slow and boring. Besides graphics are not appealing at all, and gameplay seems old school.. it is just my take.
@jeywhistle fortnite and cod is more your thing and that's ok. This is more for adults.
@@Joe-ti7qdI mean dude gave his opinion and you just strawman what he said, the only child here is you because someone doesn’t agree with you? You’re trash.
@@jeywhistle I see, that makes a lot of sense to be honest.
It's not a compromise for me but I know people are not the same.
If only on ps5. My pc I’m still working on sadly
Walk around killing zombies doing sweet F all. Where the hell is the fun?? Swear to go, games have just become absolutely Sht!! The fact we are even talking about this slow paced heap of crap is shocking itself. Talk about clutching at straws. The gaming industry makes billions and billions but we are fed absolute tripe! Enjoy this slow repetitive boring game... Imagine thinking this is good in '24. Jesus
NO 3P..... YEAHHHHHH!!! You will not see a streamer playing this 1p game from 3p view..... awesome. I hate it when a 1p game comes out that has 3p, and we never get to see it from 1p.... because they all stream for 3p. A-Life 2.0, no RNG BS. There is a background AI simulation going on as you play. It may take a few patches to get it where it needs to be, but this is how NPCs should be implemented. I can't stand many of the current open world games that use RNG or triggers for every NPC on their map. Making their games totally lifeless and contrived.
Who are you talking to?!
