A couple weeks ago on the last hand of the night I ended up in a 3 way all in with pocket 5’s in a 1/3 game pot was about 2k and they held up without improving. I’ve only been playing 2 years and I don’t get to play as much as I would like but I’ve come to realize that being fearless is one of the most important parts of this game. I have a awesome career so I get to play without really worrying about the money so much but I study the game all the time and do my best to fix issues in my game. And you RUclips guys are the reason I even started playing. I figured if you guys can do it so can I.
@@Seriously_sirius2, I played once over 7 years ago, it sucked. If you don't speak Spanish, it's not any fun. I've more on my trips to Florida. I live 5 hours away from San Jose.
Yep. Especially with the flop, there’s really no stright draw so only flush draw and both players having flush draw seems unlikely. It’s more probable that one player has insane equity like A3hh and another has something like QQ or TT, KT, AT etc. all of these have more than 70% combined equity aginst JJ. Hell, A4 or A3hh has 55% equity to JJ’s 45%. Even with a drawing hand you are only flipping.
That call with JJ at the end struck me as pretty light. In a three way all in you're almost never good there. You needed to hit that set to win 9 out of 10 times
I agree...hell I fold two kings in that spot easy. Without flinching. And he doesn't have the jack of hearts...meaning one of his potential outs completes the most obvious draw. He got super lucky...
I think we can pretty confidently call vs the original jammer since it's unlikely somebody just rips it with a set with under 2 SPR and he is very capped pre-flop. The raiser coming over the top makes absolutely no sense. Why raise the big overbet with a nutted hand when you can flat and try not to scare Lex off? If we think he is almost always putting in the 4! with QQ+ I think JJ is usually ahead vs this player. It's an uncomfortable spot but both players are not playing this like they have a set and they almost never have overpairs based on pre-flop action.
Well done fella much needed, no one more deserving. Much love fella keep it going. You have been my go to after work, cold beer laptop on and watch Lex o ..x
Impressive play with the JJs at the end... What did you put them on? I figured one had a set (maybe top top) and the other a flush draw with such a disconnected board. Or were they just that loose that 2 pairs were possibilities on that texture? I think I fold there assuming I'm no good and lose out on all that profit.
Wow, I couldn’t have done it myself. Even 2 action players have it occasionally. Did either one show their lower set? It’s about time you had some good luck too. Keep plugging away
Lex! I was yelling at the screen for you to fold! Then you went all in and I just about had to turn off the video! Congratulations on your win!, I was so stressed out! I wish I could hit the thumbs up a 100 times! Enjoy your weekend!
Nice vlog as always love yr content...I was curios wht the players had in 15k pot..I mean it was obviously right call but how often are you ahead on tht flop with overpair agaisnt 2 opponents specially when over pair is one higher to the flop...nice hand though would u say reason u called was cause u were stuck and wanted to get it all back and then sum... lol... in just wondering in case I'm in tht kind of spot..Is it really a call there or should you be folding??
Can’t you just see the old man sitting there saying, “Nice catch, kid. Keep it up and you’ll be broke by Christmas.” Of course there’s nothing sweeter than getting all your money in bad and then catching that two outer for the win.
Tough play on that call although he was smart waiting 2 minutes to get a strong read. I recommend Wim Hoff breathing you'd be surprised how much it allows you to control your heart rate once you start practicing it. You don't have those spikes in your heart rate anymore. And very good breath control because you have trained your body to saturated oxygen and you'll be shocked how long you can hold your breath after a while. Of course I'm not recommending you hold your breath during a poker hand but it's all part of the training. To new viewers I'm basing this on all of his comments from previous videos and having been someone who's watched every one of his videos
Broooooo if you played yesterday record it and make like a 50m long vid of two day I love watching you bro. Keep up the good work I’m 20 years old and when I turn 21 I’m going to start making vlogs you inspire me to do that!!
Very nice huge pot there with the JJ, its a thrill when you know deep inside this is the dream spot. Two action players with wide ranges have comitted all their money and you are likely ahead in a massive pot. The 56cc hand though was a big punt imo. You described the player as a tough sticky reg, and i dont think going off with zero equity bluffs for stacks against a sticky callinghappy player is a good adjustment.
That Call with a single over-pair against an All-in + re-Raise was a tribute to your underlying bankroll management. If that was your mortgage or rent payment for 3-months, you'd have had to grudgingly fold. Glad you have the resources to withstand $12,000 swings.
I might be wrong but I’m guessing the hijack had a pair with one heart and the button player had a 10 , so I don’t see why this was a bad call and how Lex got lucky ?
Rule #1 - If you’re occupied thinking about your bankroll then you are playing outside of your bankroll. Rule #2 - ‘There are’ is used for plural nouns instead of ‘there is’ which is for singular nouns. Eg. ‘There _are_ a lot of regular pros at the table and there _are_ two fun action players on my right.’ I’d be so proud of you if you ever found this line.
In that JJ hand, I am really curious what hand you put them on. Do you think you got bailed out or you just got lucky? Can someone in the comments GTO Wiz the hand to see if it was a +EV call/shove?, i highly doubt it was.
I would never have called with JJ there. Good payday to reward your courage there!

Jj wasn't good until he turned another J. JJ never good there. Most nits can't fold a overpair
So what? It's the casino, there will be more people playing. I think it's a little different at private or home games.
He has no obligation to lose their money back to them. Hit and run is annoying, but it's part of the game .

Not worrying too much about the money makes you fearless. I understand what you're saying even though it's a little bit contradictive
You’ve come a long way in poker. You aren’t playing scared anymore. Love it!
I would have never had called the pocket Jack's hand! That's why you're the pro! Congratulations and Pura Vida from Costa Rica!

Lex, you’re a master storyteller! That said, I’m folding Jacks to an all-in and 3-bet all day long.
No kidding. He was very fortunate, but kudos to him for pulling it off.

Totally agree. Someone has a higher overpair or set 90% of the time. Bad play. Good result
