Steve you sure have come a long way in 4 years keep it up you build a great product for the fishermen. Wish you nothing but luck on your journey in the business world.
Man I can't wait to get the boat out. Maybe next weekend. But I've been cat fishing a long time and still find now ways of fishing. I've Learn a lot from you're videos.
Hey Steve! great video enjoy watching it looks like a good day out on the water catching nice eaters makes want some catfish good eating nice catfish you caught keep the videos coming Steve
Man, where I live, I don't have the luxury of fishing such nice fish and areas, wow, im almost tempted to fly down and pay for a charter. Nice vids Steve, keepem comin.
I would love to fish with you one of these days Steve. Maybe show you my secret honey hole where Flathead dominate the bottoms, here in Arkansas. Tight lines my friend.
There you are Buddy. Question, do you follow the tournament trail ? I live in west Texas close to Lubbock and we have no water. I used to tube fish and area lakes, and drop line fish the Rio Grand south of Van Horn on the border. Mostly yellow cat and a few 12-15 lb Blues. I don't live too far from muddywatercatfishing young man here on youtube.
Mike the Kentucky rig just has more bait control than the Santee rig in my opinion. Just the conditions of the water generally makes my decisions on what rigs to use. Thanks for stopping by Mike
I mostly catch them in the 15" - 24" range and will keep any of these for eating. The 18" and up you can get some belly meat off of. Not much on the smaller ones so sometimes I try and sometimes I don't.
I was just curious as to how you decide where to fish on a lake? Are you looking at something in particular on the depth finder or are you just dropping lines everywhere and cruising around? Thank you!
Steve, Enjoy your video's. With the recent flooding we are experiencing here on the Ohio river in Southern Indiana does the flooding change any of your "honey holes" or do they stay consistent throughout the years? Thanks keep up the good videos.
+earnie derboven I think it depends on the body of water. I say that cause I have seen same results from fresh or frozen shad. Some say fresh is better but it really depends on the water and the day. Often times stuff thats frozen will thaw slowly releasing the scent much further and longer.
Dang I wish I could fish that many rods here in Iowa. We can only fish two or pay another 15 bucks for a third... Do you get a special license to fish that many or is that just a regular one?
This is the best weight for dragging in my book, I still use them today. I don't play into them pretty/flashy high-dollar sinkers that still get hung up in a snag. I would rather lose 40 cents than a 3-dollars.
not so much, dragging is more for channel cats and blues however you may land a flathead from time to time but if you're in excellent flathead waters dragging may be more effective.
N0TH1NG_L3FT we have several videos on catching jacks, visit my channel and check them out. But here is a link to just one of them. Thanks for stopping by. ruclips.net/video/tK--kEjVMSg/видео.html
Hey there, looking for tips from anyone! I have an 8ft ugly stick catfish casting rod and am looking for a round baitcaster to put on it. Any ideas? I live in the midwest so there is mostly channels here, nothing compared to some of the monsters being pulled out of the water down south, but we do have some decent sized buffalo and carp to fish with that rod and reel as well. Any idea's on a good round baitcaster would be appreciated, also going to college so anything under 100 is a plus!
Pool shark I use the catmaxx from BPS they are reasonably priced and last a long time , well worth the money in my book. Watch my videos of some of the big cats I catch here and you will see the catmax in action. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
Steve Douglas Yes sir..I've watched this one several times....You know...As much as the big ones are fun, the eaters are worth every minute of my time.....Speaking of which I need to eat some from the freezer to make room for more..Not to worry my freezer is very small... LOL..
Steve you sure have come a long way in 4 years keep it up you build a great product for the fishermen. Wish you nothing but luck on your journey in the business world.

Steve I got my new boat today but can't find a ramp that ain't flooded...any suggestions here in Louisville or surrounding areas?
Daniel Tunks most ramps were flooded it might be a cpl weeks before its fishable. good luck and stay safe
How close to the trolling motor can you suspend fish without the trolling motor scaring the fish away
Do you prefer the Kentucky rig over the Santy Cooper for dragging? What helps you make your decisions for your choice?
Thanks, M Wilcox
Mike the Kentucky rig just has more bait control than the Santee rig in my opinion. Just the conditions of the water generally makes my decisions on what rigs to use. Thanks for stopping by Mike
Steve when the catfish makes that noise I always say it's grunting or perrring
I've seen you throw back a lot of fish! What size fish do you actually keep.
I very seldom keep any fish but when I do keep a few they are under 10 lbs. thanks for stopping by Travis
I mostly catch them in the 15" - 24" range and will keep any of these for eating.
The 18" and up you can get some belly meat off of. Not much on the smaller ones so sometimes I try and sometimes I don't.
thumbs up from bigjim keep them comming

fcpd22136 Yea the ole river bed does change from year to year.
just wondering why is skipjack usable frozen but if you freeze and use shad it doesnt work very well?
+earnie derboven I think it depends on the body of water. I say that cause I have seen same results from fresh or frozen shad. Some say fresh is better but it really depends on the water and the day. Often times stuff thats frozen will thaw slowly releasing the scent much further and longer.
Dang I wish I could fish that many rods here in Iowa. We can only fish two or pay another 15 bucks for a third... Do you get a special license to fish that many or is that just a regular one?
Midwest Fishing Show Here in Kentucky we can fish with as many rods as we like with just a regular license.
Seriously???? That’s quite an infringement on enjoyment of the outdoors!
why not use a drifitng weight when dragging to avoid hangups?
This is the best weight for dragging in my book, I still use them today. I don't play into them pretty/flashy high-dollar sinkers that still get hung up in a snag. I would rather lose 40 cents than a 3-dollars.
Is dragging ever useful for flathead catfish
not so much, dragging is more for channel cats and blues however you may land a flathead from time to time but if you're in excellent flathead waters dragging may be more effective.
have u ever just trie the hook to the line with out. useing a rig
wont be close to the bottom. Try his method or a structure snake
Thanks Steve and Steve's Wife!
thank you for stopping by to leave a comment and watch our videos. I will relay your thanks to Lisa.
