I've been a HUGE reader all my life. And I definitely have a list of books I've read on regular repeat more than once a year, for many years.
Personally, I don't understand the mentality of "I've already read it so it's not fun because it's not a surprise anymore". That's WHY retreads are so amazing. You know what's going to happen and you can relive it over and over. The good parts get better. The sad parts get more poignant. The funny parts are still just as funny. You can absorb the technical skills the author used to make the story resonate so much.
Nothings in a hurry BECAUSE you already know what's happening. It's the difference between going on a Rollercoaster with a friend and sitting down for a good heart to heart with them. A friendship isn't used up once you know them really well. The connection deepens and you can live more fully in the moment with them because you fully understand them. There's no extra thinking or processing just rush through to the end. You can saturate your mind, your heart, your imagination with ease and it becomes a very different kind of enjoyable that way.
Maybe other rereaders have different reasons they love to reread, but those are mine.
Another much lesser but still relevant reason for me is life is full of unexpected stuff, usually hard or complicated stressful stuff, and your just have to problem solve all day as you go. Rereading is so emotionally soothing during those times because you already know the answers and the outcomes.

When my kids were little I did the same thing every 4th of July. No way they would go along with it now 😂 I think for Jonathan the wall to wall taco outfit..its grey so may be an easier sell on him.
The 2nd bathing suit for you. Those bottoms are too cute! Love the long sleeve with the ruffled waste one for your kiddo. I think the matching wild outfits makes the holiday that much more fun.

Your girl's dresses are so great! I definitely reread books but not that often. If a book is good enough, it doesn't matter if you know how it ends, it can still keep you on the edge of your seat. At least it's that way for me with The Lord of The Rings which I've read many, many times and still find myself hoping the quest is a success! But that might be just me. :-) That Artza box looks great. I went to the Holy Land on a pilgrimage with members of my church right before COVID. I was a fantastic trip and that box brings back some memories. It's such a beautiful place and amazing to be in the places Jesus walked. I also love the Literary Book Club and wish I had gotten that one instead of the Once Upon a Bookclub I just subscribed to.
I have my first grand child coming next month. I already got him his first book “Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr Suess. It’s the book I give to every first born, but every birthday there is a new book (now that my sons, nephews, and niece are older it’s money for them to get their own book), but the Owl Crate seems interesting.

I know I'm a downer, but I refuse to call myself a dog mom. To me, my pooches are simply creatures who live in my home... and I am convinced, because my husband calls me 'Honey,' most of the time, that's how I am known to my dogs. (I'm not being a jerk btw. NO offense to dog moms anywhere... This is just me - and I should probably just keep my mouth shut. :))
