I repair consoles, and I'm still amazed to see youtube allowing fake content. For those who still doubt, plastic cases don't rust.
isnt that dried mud?
@@randompopcat202 Hahaha I was wondering. My impression of it, is they sprayed something that rusts and then left it in the mud 6 weeks. There is some dried mud all over indeed. RIP console anyway, it's called editing in reverse and many noobs will fall for this scam.
You don't restore mummified Xboxes, or mudified for that matter.
I also repair consoles and I thought the same thing. I’ve seen some bad shape consoles but, this one takes the cake. I’d let this one go, for sure. RIP OGXBOX
Wait so what ur saying is that this video is fake?
I have seen a towel that had rust. Maybe it stuck on to it. But it is still possible that it is fake. I have never seen it happen that much.
Ridiculous. A console from 2002 just happened to be lying in a field covered in "rust". Also, the cleaning a hard drive by dropping it into a bucket of water was especially hilarious.
you, uh.... you can actually do that.
what you never saw rusty plasitc xbox? Everyone watching this cannel knows that plastic consoles rust - xboxex, ps1's, gamebys's ect--
There are so many fake restoration channels on YT, it must be quite the earner for these guys.

WoW! So amazing how all of these treasures are just laying around out in the mud. I have been buying electronics from big stores for years and to know now that all I had to do was look in my backyard after a rainstorm and I could have found all that I ever needed, threw the stuff in the dishwasher, set to rapid dry and BAMM I have a new device. I'm going to go to my local recycling centre, grab all electronics, dump them in mud for 6 weeks.
Then I'm going to rinse it all off with my garden hose, and voila, all fixed.

How do you manage to find so many plastic devices that rust? That is a miracle in itself!

You cannot repair this damage once it is done, unless you reduce all the components to the base materials and rebuild it.

Should have spray painted it before you hid it in the mud out back. The mud would have come off more easily when cleaning it. I would also have left the hard drive in the water a lot longer as it makes the disk spin faster when it’s full of water.
I do have to give you kudos on adding more solder to points you were already seeing a measurement on. More solder will have given more conductivity on an already conductive path. Genius.

Mud can be red. Northeast Texas has plenty of red dirt and mud.
Metal shielding does rust. And the OG xbox has large metal shields in it. Amazing how many of you think it's plastic. Especially the self claimed console repair people.
Do I believe an OG xbox with this much rust and debris will work again like this video shows. Absolutely not.
At some point, the contents of this case were clearly swapped with working components.
0:35 OK, even the most optimistic electrician on the planet could tell you that thing is beyond hope. And yes I watched all the way to the end. You cannot "clean" a hard disc drive that way and have it work. Also the motherboard is swapped out for a different one in the video, just pay close attention folks.
that just means he swapped it out for a broken one. lol. that gpu in the new mobo is fried.
In fact, it's the same pieces (Boards, HDD, ...)
They just filmed the "clean" parts before, then they "destroyed" it.
If you look closely, you can see their garbade solder work on the mainboard when they are "cleaning" it.
When he was pretending that he is checking and soldering the board seriously that was the Oscar winning acting
I reckon the soldering iron is not even plugged in.
Поди сам выкидывает, ложит в определеное место потом находит, и ремонтирует😏

Just last week I was thinking, “You know what my PS5 could use? A good old washing. Plastics and all.”
This HAD to be a bait and switch. They planted the fake, muddy Xbox, bring it home, toss it in the soap water, take their own Xbox apart, spray it, make it look nice, reassemble and LOOK! You got a functioning Xbox with games already installed!
Ummm... Those are game saves... Not installed games. This was before the age of game installation on the hard drive and not needing a disk to play said game.

@@Gambit42069 when I saw this xbox at the beginning and during the cleaning I dead a little in side my soul
@@ioriyagami347 uhhh.... No it didn't. This is the first generation Xbox and it did not have games loaded in it. What you're seeing in the hard drive is games that were played in the past and they're save points are saved on the memory so you can put the game back in the console and you can continue playing where you left off. You could however upload your favorite music from your CDs onto this console and you could listen to music while you played your games. I wasn't much of a gamer but I dated a gamer who loved his Xbox like way more than me, and my little brother played it like crazy especially Halo.
@@ioriyagami347 the only xbox that had built in games was a Modded xbox. It came with emulators installed. It can be a soft mod but it also had games from SNES and genesis and you can copy games from discs to stay on xbox.

Funny how this came up when I searched "fake restoration videos"
Wow this man is a genius, he wash with water the electrónics and magicaly the wires and motherboard were change, for the next video transform a playstation 4 in 5
If he could do that, they’d call him Jesus. PS5’s are hard enough to get even paying premium prices from shady resellers.
The one component I don't believe for one second that could be restored in that condition is the laser assembly. Very fine and delicate wiring and not to mention the lens.
I was thinking this also as I was watching this, the disk drive apart from the tray itself looked completely new, compared to the previous shot. Didn't even show him cleaning the rails or anything, but this is still pretty cool.
These are scam channels. People use prop items for content, huge money makers for organizations in foreign countries. Its a set up from start to finish, watch the random walk that leads directly to the components. 😆 there are a bunch of these type channels
They try to fool people to ruin there favorite things
Hdd too lol.
won't be big problem for the laser assembly. The hdd definitely won't work after a bath.
No way the console booted after you hosed and soaked everything with soapy water.
This was the xbox i used to play on during world war 2 when we were fighting the japanese in burma, our barracks got bombed and i thought that xbox was gone forever, glad you restored it to full functionality, i remember playing halo infinite on that machine back in 1944
His "phantasy"measuring the circuits is hilarious, and without dagram impossible.
I especially enjoyed how you washed a date back on to the deck of the optical drive. 10:25 nothing on metal deck. then presto 18:30 MAR 2005. impressive. Almost as impressive as that solder not penetrating anything. You got me once buddy. I need to move by that river too.
Well, you took another drive instead of the deceased, so show it honestly. He even deliberately took out the middle and inserted it back, as if it were the same restored drive. In the meantime, this is a completely different drive without damage.
The hard drive in the first frames is absolutely rusty. On subsequent frames, it is clean, like new, even stickers. I am almost sure that the assembly and launch were filmed first, and only then all the parts were dirty, thrown, then supposedly washed on camera.
Потом выставит в Авито с текстом «Xbox почти как новый, играл редко. Продаю потому что нужны деньги» 😂.

Honestly, I'm not sure why someone spends time dirtying up (it's always been steeped in mud it seems) game consoles to look bad, clean the mess you made, and pretend that it's suddenly working?
