Just because you want a couple days alone doesn’t mean you don’t want kids. Clair and Phil obviously loved their kids so much in this show and loved bring parents, people just need breaks. There are people who absolutely love their job but that doesn’t mean they want to work 24/7, they still want to come home and rest and have time to do other things.
