Thank you! Everything you mentioned was spot on. Anyone attempting to do this at home, I suggest not to. I did so and it was a pain in the ass to do with a jack and jackstands underneath the car. There’s so little clearance to remove and install the starter. In addition your view is really obstructed when lying on your back. Would’ve been much easier and quicker standing underneath a lift. Thanks again for the great instructions on the video
This job could not have been completed without this video. From above, you cannot see the starter, from below after removing the undercover you might be able to see it!! But the critical parts to remove after the undercover and how to maneuver this thing out and especially back in were essential. This was the only video we found about this particular Honda CR-V model, thank you so much!
I agree with the others, this video is instrumental if you plan to replace the starter in a 2012 Honda CRV. I re-watched important parts of it many, many times over the course of the day as I struggled with that "blind" 14mm bolt in the back. Even after all bolts and clips are off, it is not easy to remove or restore the starter. Listen to the tips he gives, they are crucial for maneuvering the starter out and back in.
Can you remove that starter just working from the top of the motor without removing buttom shield and that bracket you did at the beginning of the video ?
@@richierock1300 I couldn’t see well enough and I was having such a hard time I just took a flathead and pried it off. I might’ve broke the harness but at this point oh well
