I was going to say the same. Both of them saying "it's so weird" over and over when pumpkin, turkey, and mole are all foods eaten (together) for centuries in Mexico before Europeans even knew the Western Hemisphere existed.

I just remembered, the specific type of mole that is made with lots of pumpkin seeds is called Pipián! This is what’s customary for my family to make.
