really appreciate this video & love how you ask right out the gate "what do you do on a day to day basis?" alot of ppl don't ask themselves that when making a toon. I as well have a Breton Templar Paladin build & have been using that build for years & it works for me 100% & I also have been judged because of that but it works for me so that's all that matters. great video!!
What you do day to day is a great way to put it. I played with innate axiom on my templar tank forever but switched to a more meta build and hated it for a long time for that reason. Finally, I worked through it, but sometimes I miss my old junky setup. Great video, thanks!
Exactly! Play whatever and however you want to play. Video games are fun and theres more than one effective build for every class! People tend to forget that :) Especially if the META feels bad to YOU or isn't as effective for your playstyle - why would you play it?
I am just returning to the game from Blackwood launch, but I have been playing over the years. Tanking is my favorite thing to do in groups, but my main character is a Templar. I was always told "make a DK or gtfo" and it always kinda hurt me, because THIS is my character. I eventually caved in and made a DK in which I was able to tank nSS quite easily, and was in a prog group killing the ice dragon in vSS HM, but I got burned out on the game, because I don't like having to manage multiple characters. Coming back to the game, the itch to tank on my Templar is growing again. I am well aware that Templars can't tank as well as DK's, but I am glad that someone else out there is able to have the same opinions as me in regards to the role and class combo :) Time to pull out the old Yoln set from the bank and complete a good second set to pair with it (I was using ebony before)
Yea all of that is nonsense. Do DKs have an easier time tanking the highest difficulty end game content? Absolutely. But for everything outside of vet trifecta trials you can tank easily on everything.
Can I just say.. a huge thank you. This is such in depth and you r 1 of the only you tubers who explains not all builds work for all, it's all about ur game style and how u play. You r 1 of my favourite you tubers keep up the good work. Wot do u play tho xbox eu or na?
Hey! It's my first time watching you thanks to algorithm somehow, I love your character man. So humble and nice, finally someone who puts time and effort in explaining something as it should be rather than spitting copied meta builds/guides we see everyday... I started play ESO again after years and I love tanking, thanks to you I will create a Templar tank besides my Warden Tank! :) Keep it up dude.
Same here, not sure why I haven't seen him pop up before. Really enjoyed this video, it's good to get away from the same "Never Die DPS build" with an actual explanation to why you chose how to build. Thanks man, keep it up!
very nice vid. i have been playing tank for a long time and templar has been my main sins start, havent had any problems tanking endgame. with right sets and skills templar tank is super nice. sadly we dont bring anything for group more then heals. but still 100% working in the endgame. and no templar is super strong tank so im with you all the way mate. been playing dk, crow, arc, sorc, warden, nb as tank but for me arc and templar is fun! rest is just so boring haha. gl !
Because I can manage the block cost very easily - most things you can face tank and you don’t need to hold block constantly. Divines enables me to have more magicka recovery 👍🏻

In this video, I was just using a controller, but play on PC NA!
Thanks for this extensive Templar tank guide. It has inspired me to try to tank on Templar again. Really enjoyed the video
Thank you so much :D

Great build, I myself am an ESO player I would love to see a written build guide for your builds
Yea at some point I'd definitely love to do that via a website or something!! :D
my Dps/Healer is a Breton and she is nasty I've got the ring of pale order on her and I'm working on getting the oakensoul ring
What is that beautiful UI addon? The menu
Drakes Rush says "Bash," you do not need to use the one hand and shield skill to activate it.
True dat! Probably just mentioning it in that video due to us using it :P But you're absolutely right
I have a dps/healer and i cue up as a dps, she needs the heals to aid her dps so that is why I'm not a healer I'm support
Why are you using all body pieces Divine but not in Sturdy??? Can you explain it to me

Recommended monster before earning archdruid?
Tremorscale from volenfell does essentially the same thing!
