I was lucky to be able to be coached by Anthony Simonsen when he came to Singapore a few weeks ago to conduct a session for two handed bowling. He was really very nice, kind and patient, and he helped a lot with my game. Thank you!
A lot of the things Simo said are great tips one handed bowlers too. One thing I struggle with is clearing my hip at the start of the swing and throwing to hard. Great video Darren!
Great video, I'm changing up due to knee issues, and how to clear the hips helps. I used it in practice today, and didn't feel I had to try so hard to get the ball out and get it to return to the pocket.
Nice tips. Another video that breaks down an approach for a better swing is one with Mike Machuga, can’t remember the title but swing/Mike Machuga should produce it in the search bar. Great video DT.
Man Darren you’re helping me alot!! Transitioned about half a year ago. And with this one and your last one gives me alot to learn!! Push away to where u want to throw, and the LONGER slide instead of faster makes me way more conscious! Keep on coming with the 2H stuff :)
Is there a specific point where your elbow becomes locked in the forward swing? Darren's elbow is locked sooner than Simo. And Barnzy keeps his elbow locked most of his swing
Some people bend there elbow some people dont. That base to do with comfort im guessing.. i keep my elbow straight because i bowl one handed also… so im use to keeping my arm straight… i guess Darren is also. But either way your arm should be straight when releasing cause if not its like your push the ball instead of rolling
I started watching this video, without even thinking about what Jesse and you had said a week ago. It's Simo!!!! Very nice! I'm gonna subscribe right now! OK, done! And, I'm saving this clip. I started bowling six months ago and I bowl one-handed, but I've tried two-handed and enjoy it though, for me, it's nowhere near as accurate as bowling one handed. Gonna save this clip for I start practising two-handed bowling.
Good advice even for us old school one handers. I often find myself going too fast and have to remind myself to slow down. When I do, it is easier to keep my swing on line with more consistency. Now if I could get those pesky 10 pins to fall down....
@bunker5696 Andrew Anderson's channel is pretty good so far. I watched this video again and Darren actually flashed Simo's channel at the end /anthonysimonsen300. I haven't been able to find it yet, but a few days ago, Packy mentioned that a PBA personality was launching a new RUclips channel soon.
I feel like it’s disrespectful to not say belmo is the best two handed bowler in the world, considering he’s the best two handed player ever and is still playing.
Simo is good. However, going by the last two years results, he is Not the best bowler in the world, That title, for the moment, belongs to E J Tackett no matter what your video has to say. Statistics don't lie!
The last statement by Darren, about Simo playing the lanes is so true. Lane monitored at the '23 Masters on the low end and what I saw him do with a ball was nothing short of amazing! I'll never forget one game, with a spot secured in Match play because he was defending, he literally threw 3 different balls, on 3 different lines and shot something in 240s. Kind of knew right then he'd be the Champ again.
Yes Tackett is good. But He just lost to Troup. But Tackett has just as much if not more Revs than most two handed bowlers. But you can't stop evolution of the game.
Simo is not the best two-handed bowler in the world not a chance I was born two-handed before Simo and belmo popped out of the mother's stomachs If I was on tour belmo and Simo wouldn't stand a chance against me none of the pros would Simo started bowling at 16 on tour because he's a high school dropout

I was there too!

Yea from what i see, all tips and things mentioned work for 1 handers as well
Honestly, Im a one handed scratch thumbless, and this is invaluable to me as well.
I was at a clinic of his in singapore and he gave me all of these tips and i have improved a lot since then
me 2

Tip #5: 🧔♂️Grow a lot of facial hair to be a two handed PBA major winner. e.g Simo, Kyle, Jesper & Belmo. (So Packy - Grow a beard!)

Thanks for the for the tips! Im working on improving my 2handed and this really helps me spot where did i do wrong
A very helpful video. Thanks Darren and Simo . Love from Australia 🤟☺️
I have to agree with other posters that all of this is a great help to one handed bowlers as well. Very well done! Awesome video!
Great tips and explanations!
Awesome video great content!
Great video! There are a lot of great approach tips that I'll be keeping in mind.
Great video. Thank you both! Heading over to Simo's channel now to subscribe.

I want to know this one as well!!!
Very interesting!!

Love the collab. Not a 2 hander myself, but I'm definitely going to pass this video on to my friends who are.

do yall have any tips to not drag my foot on the floor and make marks?
Cool video talk tech bowling Darren tang
Good tips
Great advice
One thing he does that I don't is WIN 😂
Great tips. Basic mechanics plays a HUGE roll in repeating shots and I feel is overlooked way too often.
Good video for sure.
Simo… do you ever get near western New York State?
#1: Bowl on the PBA Tour.
For tip 3 what if u plant? any advice on how to get a longer flat spot in the swing if u plant? Or how to use ur legs more if u plant?
Thank you simo!
We need some vitamin D tang on tour using two hand 💪
Thanks darren for making this video happen🔥🫶🏻 really need it!!
Robin morrison from South African is a good bowling Darren 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😃😃😃🎳🎳🇿🇦
Great! What's Simo's channel name? i looked up "Anthony Simonsen" and I just got links to videos where he was a guest.
I don't think he has a channel.
@Nolan_Hacker The House was mentioning that "someone" was starting a new channel soon... very excited!
@@CliftonDon74Maybe they were referring to Andrew Anderson, whose channel is already top 3 in terms of bowling channels

Thanks so much, fellas!
(I’m the world’s oldest two-hander…71yrs)
Good stuff ty im just starting
Mr. Simonsen is the best bowler today.
One handers not reading the title before getting mad in the comments 😂
He’s one of the best 2 hand bowlers, I say he number 5 after Packy
SIMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
808 Abernathy Creek
I feel like it’s disrespectful to not say belmo is the best two handed bowler in the world, considering he’s the best two handed player ever and is still playing.
Ima need to know that balls name rn 😂 💳💸
Two handed
Is simo rated higher than belmo now
Best bowler is crazy let's not forget who started this trend
Belmo isnt considered the best anymore? Or is goat above this
How about you teach him how to do one-handed
Why did I think Simo was 5’3”…maybe cause he gets so low. 😅
The glaze is wild asf
Are you just a plain old two handed now?
Simo is good. However, going by the last two years results, he is Not the best bowler in the world, That title, for the moment, belongs to E J Tackett no matter what your video has to say. Statistics don't lie!
he said 2 handed

Hatin ass mannn
Listening is a good tool to use

First
Thumbnail was blurry, took my labs bowling, scored a 36, got kicked out, unsubscribed
stop hating two handers that is the future live with it
Simo is not the best two-handed bowler in the world not a chance

Simo started bowling at 16 on tour because he's a high school dropout
who tf is you?? 💀
you couldn’t do shit on tour lmao
Why aren’t you out there then? PBA tournaments are all over the country and not that expensive to enter
Two handed bowling is weird.
Nope, I can't stand 2-handed bowling
Same. It looks ridiculous.
Lol ok "purists"
how many major titles do you have?
Thumbless or not. These are great fundamental tips. Stay under control and let it roll! 🎳
Posts about Simo having 13 titles. He has 16. Maybe if he focussed on the bowling he could make cuts too
Nope, I can't stand 2-handed bowling
