Finland Mallu, happiness is a rather relative term. These results are based on surveys. If you have no ambition in life and if you have everything you need to survive, how minimalistic it may be you will be very happy. However if you live in a highly competitive society like North America (US, Canada), UK, Germany, France, India etc. Story is totally different. I have noticed Indians living in Australia much happier than people living in North America because the need satisfaction for North Americans are much higher.
I have noticed my great nephew (who has everything) who is studying in a top notch university in Canada is so wound up because he has to keep his GPA (mark) so high. High marks means medical school admissions and a very high standard of living in the future.
