- The trickster god’s TV show introduced us to possibly the greatest power to date. The TVA controls the flow of time and even renders our favorite trickster god’s powers useless. But why is this?

They just reveled this week that the TVA has magic dampeners that can be turned on and off.
They could have done better....I have a feeling that they didn't max out him well with his powers....having said that ...love all the loki moments 👍

Allegedly but it's never really confirmed iirc. Kang is just always VERY careful because he isn't SURE whether Dr.Doom is one of his ancestors or not.

Well good idea but turns out it was actually just some sort of Security protocol run by computer systems or Miss Minutes at the TVA, magic dampeners or something they referred to it as (Loki S2 E4)

well like you said if it was indeed the runes or something similar to that kang was using then only kang can do whatever he want but only if the person is in the tva if the person is outside of the tva as shown in loki ep 6 that both loki and sylvie can use their magic which means in the citadel there was no runes. there is another possibility that since kang no longer knows whats gonna happen next it could be the reason why loki and sylvie were able to use their powers after that.

i think it’s more likely an older version of Loki or Sylvie put the ruins up so that the younger version of themselves has to go thru the “journey”. but what do i know.

This kind of loki is what I’m looking forward to see if they decide a marvel crossover.
You only see the “runes” in the timekeeper chamber, therefore it would only affect that room. In order for it to affect all of the TVA you would have to see them outside at the borders
What if that room is the only one having the runes? Like the Time Lord's technology, that room space is getting folded and folded many many times until you have the entire TVA size of space and because that room is the original space that got folded the entire places have the same effect as that room.

Why wasn't he turned back into a frost giant then if magic was the only thing keeping him looking asgardian?
Or they’re using the same tech that Christine Palmer used in Earth 838 that dampens magic using the Sands of Nisanti. It would be more plausible since Kang is more of a tech guy than he is of magic.

Wrong! I’m episode 5 of season 2 they reveal that the TVA has magic dampeners; they were forced to temporarily disable the dampeners in rebooting the system to stop Ms. Minutes which allowed Loki and Sylvie to use their magic to stop Renslayer.

Personally I think the whole frost giant thing is just a complication they wish they never had to deal with in Loki's character, because it creates a lot of conflicts.
