  • Ep. 01 Author of ‘Pachinko’ Min Jin Lee: Exploring the Identity of the Korean Diaspora
We are joined by Min Jin Lee, the author of the New York Times bestseller Pachinko, the second novel of her Koreans trilogy. Min Jin Lee announced her arrival in 2008 with the award-winning Free Food for Millionaires, and created waves once again in the US and the rest of the world with her second novel Pachinko in 2017. As Min Jin Lee works to finish American Hagwon, the last novel in the Koreans trilogy, she shares with us her thoughts on how the Korean experience in her novels has resonated with readers across the globe.

Thank you, great interview. Pachinko came to me by accident, and I haven't seen the TV series. I was blown away. Like Min Jin Lee said, this is a story that needs to be told. It was an honor to read this book! Looking forward to reading more.

It is a lack of consideration about what is love. They send their child to 학원 because they love them. but lack of consideration means that at 학원, 학교 they destroy child's self esteem and result in the twist of personal character who prioritize the competition first. One ward that they make monster like Frankenstein.
