Hi guys, and welcome to the biggest little country in America, El Salvador. I will soon retire from here in the US, and hopefully meet you guys someday soon. I'm Salvadorean though. And welcoming the Canadian community of El Salvador.

A lot of us Salvadorean left the country due to political problems in the 70s-90s. The politics and war lead to the lack of opportunities and crime. But we always knew that El Salvador has fertile lands, fresh foods, variety which you don’t get in “first world” countries where most things are bought in big chain stores with lack of fruit/fresh food - not much chance to grow own food - I remember we lived in a normal suburban home in the city in El Salvador and we had avocado tree, papaya tree, guava, marañon, arrayan tree, mamey tree, we also had bees, something we can’t have in Australia at all - not in the standard “city/suburbia” and definitely not the variety.
Thanks guys for your dreams and your willingness to help our country to be a better place to live. You are part of our nation already; you are the real Salvadoran, welcome and let this be your second home!😊

I'd like to see you interview people who aren't adverse to discussing real prices. How much was the land? How much was the car? etc Those of us acres the planet have no way of knowing what "reasonable" is to a person from Canada by way of Mexico and now living in El Salvador. How can we share a frame of reference?
I don't know because I don't eat meat but from what I have been told from friends and family the quality here is not that good. But there are expats working on it. I wonder and ask... how can the huge Bitcoin volatility make it suitable for payments? For example: if I buy a car now with 1 BTC (~$28,000) and if next year 1 BTC reaches for example $50,000 it will be like I paid $50,000 for that same car...
You are not totally wrong. One strategy to solve this problem is to spend bitcoin and replace them, meaning buying bitcoin again right after. Some custodial wallets like Strike allow you to pay in Bitcoin but converting the dollar in your account instantly, so you have spent Bitcoin but using dollars. Makes sense?

Canada went into lockdown due to pandemic in 2020. Canadians who were unvaccinated were banned from travelling freely across the country in trains or airlines.
That if you don’t follow certain medical practices imposed by the government you’ll be treated a class B citizen and you’ll forbidden to work and provide for your family.

What is meant by being a medical prisoner in Canada?
That if you don’t follow certain medical practices imposed by the government you’ll be treated a class B citizen and you’ll forbidden to work and provide for your family.
By “expats” you mean immigrants right? 😅
Yes, expatriates
