  • On August 1st, 2020, officers responded to a theft in progress. They were advised that an off-duty police officer had stolen a 31-year-old man’s phone and was denying it, even after the CCTV footage showed otherwise. He was very uncooperative from the beginning. Meanwhile, the female officer questioned the officer's friends about the phone. The male persisted in being argumentative, further escalating the situation. He still refused to produce the phone and cooperate with the officers. The male escalated the situation, leaving the police with no choice but to tase him. He continued to resist even after being handcuffed. The suspect continued to argue with the cops and defend his side. Shortly after, he was transported to the police department for processing. The male was charged with theft and obstruction of peace.

The “defund the police” thing had nothing to do with this. The vast majority of police departments were never defunded. If any were defunded it didn’t last long and has had zero lasting effect except for certain people who can’t get over it. I guess some cops did get but hurt over the idea of defunding and have had a hard time letting it go, like work slow downs. They've got that DEI rolling down there in Dublin at the PD, gotta have the diversity hires. They throw out criminal records, and lower their standards to take on someone that isn't fit to even be a security guard at a dead mall. I bet he's stolen from people he's pulled over and because courts take the word of even dishonest cops over citizens he's gotten away with it which is why he said on the video "I've been thru this too many damn times". He likely had a lengthy juvie record for theft, probably some as an adult as well but not enough to keep him from getting a job as a corrections officer where I bet he was dirty and made to quit to hide the fact he was stealing or sneaking contraband in. See they run into real problems when they hire based upon skin color, because you can't get rid of them without them throwing the race card and filing a discriminaton suit against the place. Hopefully now with this good quality camera evidence and his own piss poor behavior the Dublin PD has fired him and knows better than to hire the likes of him again for anything. The Democrat party is currently having the same issue with VP Kamala Harris, nobody lies her, she had less than a 3% vote in her home state of CA when running and people know Joe Biden's brain is melting so if he's re-elected it's likely to be his VP that serves 3+ yrs. Nobody likes Kamala, people have heard her speak, people that know who she is know she's slept her way into positions and was just a diversity hire for Joe as he wanted Amy Klobashar or Whitmer instead but was made to pick a black woman on the ticket. Now they're in a mess because nobody likes Kamala yet they cannot replace her or boot her off the ticket because then there will be outrage that the "first female black VP" was kicked off the ticket.
Let them reap what they sew, don't hire based upon skin color, in fact remove the question of race from every single job application in America and at colleges as well. Instead lets go just based upon merit and who puts in the work and deserves the job or spot. But notice they never call for that, I wonder why? hmmmm

FWIW: in the first year of police work it's pretty typical that trainees basically just ride-along with a veteran who shows them the ropes and tells them what to do. It's extremely likely that he never actually did anything without it being approved first by someone who knows better.

He's actually doing some predictable stuff. You see this kind of behaviour in children when they're trying to get out of something. Criminals do the same things. They don't understand that they're reading guilty.
He's deflecting by being hyper defensive. He thinks protesting reinforces innocence but it makes him look more guilty.
He's accusing them of racism because no one wants to be accused of racism and he thinks it'll make them back down.
And he's over insistent on being searched because he believes it signifies innocence. You see it when people toss dr_gs.
