Somethin' for the People was an R&B group from Oakland, California, known for their hits in the late 1990s, especially their 1997 song "My Love Is the Shhh!" featuring Trina & Tamara. The group started in 1990 with Curtis "Sauce" Wilson and Jeff "Fuzzy" Young from Oakland, California, and Rochad "Cat Daddy" Holiday from Los Angeles. They recorded demos and signed with Capitol Records in 1993. Later, they switched to Warner Bros. Records and re-released their first album in 1996. Their second album, "This Time It's Personal," had a big hit with "My Love Is the Shhh!" which reached high on the charts in the US and Canada. They also worked as songwriters, writing songs for other artists like Will Smith and Adina Howard. Their third album, "Issues," came out in July 2000.
