Yeah but if something were to happen to her son she can rush home. She's been home more than before. Worst comes to worst she can quit her job and take care. If she's gone, who can do that?? Being deaf or unable to speak they can still work a lot of jobs. Being blind is extremely difficult even with money. If someone is stealing from the cash register, is he gonna know? Can he see who tampered with CCTV? Even if he wants to set up a business and earn steady income: He needs help for everything related to it. Someone to oversee the books, keep it tidy and more. As owner he can never know if the place is dirty somewhere or something is going missing or if someone is robbing him on the streets randomly, nothing. Because he can't see. He will need his partner's help or his mom/bro help. Someone to check now and then before he starts receiving complaints about his business. Only in series they make it look very easy like Day running a bookstore blind. Very hard in real life. They can work ofc. But need a little help from trustworthy people.
Right. And if she leaves enough inheritance/insurance, his brother and the caretaker that he already trusts and loves can help him. What's the difference between Mok and some other caretakers besides the fact that Mok already proven that he will go above and beyond for Day. I'm not seeing her logic.
I think he was referring more to economics, or at least that's how I see it
@@btsarmyforever3816 but that's the thing, she was present only recently. If anything it would've been "Who will take care of you if Night is not there/here?" Because before that, she was constantly working and had no way of helping their children fix what happened between them.
She dumped the load of taking care of Day on Night when things were SUPER tense between them which didn't help at all. She was present financially but not emotionally.
That's why they looked for a caregiver.
Since the start she didn't like Mhok because he didn't coddle Day and treated him like any other person, which was what Day needed. His mom was treating him like a child that needed constant supervision and was not able to function for himself. She allowed her son to isolate himself from the world and didn't show initiative to actually help him.
Mhok helped him be more independent and regain his confidence because he was no longer just the blind guy nor was he treated like someone who needed everything done for him. He regained his confidence and was able to do things for himself again. Things he was able to do thanks to his caregiver/boyfriend, not his mom.
Ofc he was gonna need help in order to start his business but again, that was not something only his mom could do. It could've been his mom, his brother, Mhok, Mhok's friend (I forgot her name), or any other person. She wasn't the only person willing to take care of him.

Oh wow Mark made cry right there. His performance as Night is so nuanced. When Day came to sit down with him and he forgave him for everything Night tried to not let those tears roll down his face. It was beautiful to see them picking at each other lovingly! I think Day progressed so much. He came to terms with his disability and realized that his accident wasn't Night's fault so there was no point in holding a grudge. Also, it can only help Day to have Night at his side to convince his mother to let Mhok back inside the house. Mhok was just the cutest to drive to Day right away once he got his car back. I'm sure he would have loved to take Day for a ride but just seeing him made him happy. I really don't understand this much push-back from Day's mum tho....
To me I think she's jealous cz only Mhok could do what she has been failing to do now she thinks he'll take him away from her

8:27 why is nobody talking about how what the mom doing is actual abuse. Isolating your disabled child under the pretense to keep them safe it’s a form of gaslighting others and themself. For the people with visual impairment, having phone or Internet is there way to see world through the help of technology and not to mention connect with people and taking it away when your son is already doing bad is a clear sign of abuse.
exactly, this made me SO mad (but as usual characters like this never experience any true consequences for their actions. they just get talked to but never even really called out for the root problems, then they cry some crocodile tears and apologize and all is forgiven as if they haven't done something actually quite heinous. happened in The Eclipse too, with Louis' charater except he wasn't even sorry??? everyone was just fine with him. made me so frustrated). but with this mom especially like... her son is an ADULT. he can decide for himself where he goes and who he dates. his mom trying to control that regardless of if it's because of his disability or not, is straight up abuse it's so gross. she's literally cutting him off from contact with the entire rest of the world when she has no right to even if he wasn't blind, but honestly ESPECIALLY because he's blind because like you said a blind person's phone is basically their lifeline, it's an absolute necessity. like she's basically got him under house arrest. it's one thing to expect your adult children to respect some house rules if they still live with you, but you don't get any more say in their life than that. ugh

Oh wow this part touched my heart. Leaving aside Day and his mom, Mark’s delivery of an older brother reconciling with his younger brother made me cry like a baby. Before tears appeared in Night’s eyes, I was already sobbing. Day’s character development gets all the points here. Love how the show progresses with each part and never makes it seem too slow
“I forgive you. For everything.” For how long Night must have been waiting to hear that. God his eyes, it brought out every feeling he was goin’ thru at that time. I cried at that scene. The reconciliation scene was so pure and perfect . Night’s recognition that his brother was opening up to him , him processing it to feeling overwhelmed at being finally forgiven and accepted . So beautiful .
The way Day smiles from ear to ear when it comes to Mhok. He literally screamed in baby font, "Phi Mhoook!" That was so cute and adorable! But I think this episode will give it up for tonight. It brought me happy tears when Day already forgives him and his expression is beyond wordsㅡso priceless. Night, you'll be the best big brother for Day, and no one else could replace it.
There's a difference between loving someone and understanding someone. Mae loves Day but Mhok loves and understands Day. Mae takes decisions for Day's well being without listening to what he actually feels about those decisions and what he actually wants but Mhok let's Day decide, listens and observes what Day truly wants and needs but he never forces his way for him. Family thinks about keeping him safe and Mhok let's him fly . Both are well wishes but it's up to Day to take the final decision. He is the one going through everything, it's his battle so he chose his soldiers, his weapon and his path. And since family couldn't take care of him so they needed a caretaker and Mhok became a confidant for Day. Thus Day really needs Mhok emotionally, physically and mentally as Mhok healed his spirit brought him out of his mental darkness and spread light in his journey of acceptance. Day needs Mhok more than anyone at this point. He needs both family, friends and his lover . Everyone has certain position in his life but Mhok is what is inseparatable factor for him.

A mom who wants her blind son to be safe didn't even think of building some grills across the son's window, didn't even think that he could fall off those giant open windows but is very prompt while driving the caretaker away....how ridiculous!
THIS! I was shocked by this! She also didn't use styrofoam to tape furniture legs! Causing Day to constantly hit himself, breaking his ankle. Even after that she didn't tape it! Mohk bought him those fish slippers and after that he stayed safe. The sharp edges need to be protected with styrofoam. Like child-proof.

Although I understand his mother’s concerns, taking his phone not only cuts him off from Mhok but everything else including if an emergency occurs and the brother is unable to get to his phone. She’s left her son feeling more vulnerable, alone and helpless.

Who else with me who cried in this happy scene where Night and Day reconcile?? I should be happy, but seeing the emotion build up on Night's face, I CAN CLEARLY see that he is relieved.

I'm bawling like a maniac seeing Night got all teary-eyed when Day said he forgives him.
Even though she's Day's Mom and she's worried about him as a Mom but what she is doing to him is unfair the fact that she took his Phone she doesn't realize by doing so she's making Day feel like he's a burden at least Mhok made him feel a live and confident about himself.
Love how Night is trying to be supportive to him and when they were talking he almost cried.
And we all cheered for Night!!! So satisfying seeing the brothers coming together and now they can scheme together behind the moms back.
I feel so bad for Night and I especially felt for him when his mom blamed him for everything going on. The blame of not taking good care of his brother. You can tell it hurt Night but to some extent he's used it. He is accustomed to always be "the bad guy" as he said. That is why the scene where they both eat together feels so meaningful and special. It is a moment where Day finally understands Night a little. When Night switched his noodles for him without thought and immediately started eating the cold ones. It's always been the little things and the stuff that goes unnoticed that show how much Night is guilty and regretful. Even if it was a vague "I forgive you. Forgive you for everything" It was still so clear that it meant the world to Night and Mark did such an amazing job of showing how much it meant to Night and how it shocked and confused him a little. You could see the tears start to form but he held them back. It was so beautiful and it even opened the door for them to reminisce about their childhood and even have some fun banter that is normal for siblings. What a great scene. I think it is my favorite moment from this episode. ❤

I have to say “Mark, you did a good job” I first watch you in Only Friends, and I was amazed by your performance. You never disappoints. Hopefully, they gave you big break cause you deserved it. That talent of yours must be put in use, must be known.
And this scene... I give to Mark entirely. To immerse in a character that has to take such emotional burden, I could only imagine how much that can toil to his personality so much as him getting the emotions from wherever he is getting it conveying a brother trying his best to make things right and at this point finally having the redemption he deserves.
I need both Night and Day to run far, far away from her. I can't stand her. They both deserve more.
Mark's acting here...the tears, the relief...he did so well. His acting is so good and I'll never get sick of watching him in shows.

I can understand why Night looks like he is about to cry when having conversations with Day. I feel the same way towards my dad and anyone I find awkward to talk to. It feels so overwhelming when you manage to have a proper conversation with them and the eyes will turn glassy when they start to open up with you..Night potrayed that emotion so well and I can relate it so much. 😊
As a person who works with people with disabilities, this mom makes me want to throw hands - she is very realistic in the most frustrating sense

you can clearly see the moment that Night felt the weight on his shoulders leaving with Day's forgiveness. Mark is very talented as an actor, he really conveys the feelings of the characters he plays clear way, in the expressions, in the emotion around their eyes, the lightness of the voice even if it was choked, in the conversation between the two brothers, just Wow!!!. This forgiveness meant a lot to both of them, as Day gave Night the chance to redeem himself and to change, thanking him for always staying by his side even when he walked away, and for Night it was removing the guilt from his shoulders and mind, the pressure of being better for Day. This scene really was emotional😭
God let me just look at mark again. I know he's good at acting but this set is on another level, without saying anything he just tell all the emotions with his eyes. 15:33 is on different level

At first I'm trying to understand Mom's POV, of course she's gonna be protective of Day. But locking him up and taking away his phone (even changing the Wi-Fi??) as one of the gateway to the outside world is a bit much. I can't with this woman.

Mark really gave me that feeling. It really brought tears to my eyes. I've been waiting for Day and Night to make up for so many episodes. I'm glad we finally got a scene like that. 😭

Why every moment of this series makes me so emotional? In each episode part, I cry at least twice if not more.
No one can take care of Day like Mohk did. Because others see it as a job, but Mohk saw his caregiver role as a role of affection and love. He was considerate about Day's thoughts and feelings...no one other than Mohk could give Day a dish of food resembling clock, goldfish slippers for not hurting Day and designated drawers for Day's chargers.
Loved how Day's face radiated that his Phi Mohk called, that his Phi Mohk was watching him. And the fact that Day waved to Mohk from his window for Mohk to see, and Mohk waving back though Day can't see...WHO'S CUTTING ONIONS NOW?
Night trying to help Day in anyway, even if his mom doesn't allow him...I love how Day and Night reconciled with a casual chat rather than a whole drama of Day blaming Night and Night apologizing profusely. It was simple but heart-touching. Night was surprised that Day was talking to him alright, and then that forgiveness...and Night trying to joke around just like the old times with tears in his eyes. Mark Pakin once again proved what an incredible actor he is.

Finally!!! I have been waiting for Day and Night’s reconciliation scene. Mark is a splendid actor because you can see it on his face how overwhelmed yet relieved he felt when he saw Day was bickering with him like a brother would and when he said “I forgive you. For everything” that hit the spot because Night was holding back tears but I started crying 😭
I hope Mark gets a lead role soon because he can definitely act and GMM should let him show his full potential.
Night and Day finally getting along and talking about their childhood nearly brought me to tears! I've been waiting what seems like forever for Day to finally forgive him and they can start going back to normal, and I'm so happy they're finally working towards that :'))

I completely broke down when Day forgave Night. Even though it was not entirely his fault, we all can feel how miserable he felt for what happened to his brother, constantly blaming himself and being blamed by others. One can see the relief on his face once he finally is forgiven by Day. Even though the situation can't change but atleast there aren't any hard feelings between them and I absolutely love how they restored their sibling bond

Oh my God.... There are just so many things to appreciate here. Tbh I really do understand Day's Mom... She has worked really hard to reach this point in her life and raised the two boys herself. Si, it's quite natural she would want someone to take care of Day and also provide the financial security in case something happens to her. Though it was equally important to take Day's feelings into consideration which she isn't able to accept here. The moment between Night and Day is absolutely beautiful... The forgiveness that Night wasn't even expecting cz it was already difficult for him to bear the burden. Those tears of joy in Night's eyes when they could finally have a normal conversation and lend a hand to each other to depend on. Everyone is doing such a fabulous job here 😭😭❤️❤️
