What tire size? Did you extend your bumpstops? You must drop your bumpstops to limit compression travel, both to clear the larger tires and to protect the springs. The shackle lift allows the leaf spring to compress beyond its limits and fatigue. If you do this right, your oem spring will not fail early.
Thanks Fletcher for showing lift. Question: does this kit require a wedge to adjust pitch of rear axle? Saw another channel show another brand lift and they mention a wedge to get right driveline pitch. Maybe they did something different to their Frontier. Thanks
Just by the quick look I saw in the video your leafs look like they are starting to go flat almost looks even negative. I would go ahead and put those new leafs in. We see this at my shop all the time with the extra weight and stock leaf springs. Just my two cents, but love the content.
It might put a little bit more on it, but I think the difference is probably negligible. If you go much above the current lift, then most suspension manufacturers recommend replacing your upper control arms to adjust and allow for travel without contacting the coil bucket. I figure in 30 or 40,000 miles. I will probably go with a slightly larger lift and at that time I’ll replace upper control arms and do any needed maintenance at that time.
Thanks! I'm running Kenda Klever RT's in 285/70R17's. If it helps, I made a full walkaround video a week or two ago that shows all the mods on the truck here: ruclips.net/video/GSENzenNzyo/видео.html. Thanks again!
Yep, good question. Here's the link: amzn.to/3R4BPkn. I've run this brand of spacers on my last 3 cars over about 6 years or so and they've been great. Reasonably priced too.
I didn't just because I decided to add a shackle right after buying the ADO lift and since it's basically just a few pieces of steel, I bought the cheaper set off Amazon. Long term, I'm going to swap out the rears for the ADO parabolic leaf pack to help with the weight and when my shocks wear out, I'll pick up the Koni's from ADO as well. I'm sure the Z1 shackle is nice though like most of their stuff!

@@kevinstarski1598 Ha! Damn it, then I’m sure that’s right. I was actually working on building the drawer system and installing my bed rack while a buddy helped with the suspension so I assumed it was the normal addition of an AAL. Good to know!
The wheel spacers needed I assume with the 285 on stock wheels? I'm about to basically copy your entire build for my white pro4x and there isn't anything you can do about it haha
I feel ya...lol probably gonna do the same. The link says they don't fit the 3rd gen. I'm almost positive if they fit the 2nd they fit the 3rd. We'll obviously they do because you did it. Thanks for the quick reply. Happy 4th brother
The Frontier is looking good. I like the stance the suspension gives the truck 👌🏽
Thanks buddy!
Did you add wheel spacers or is that just from the larger tires?
@@treverlebarre5502 I've got these 1" wheel spacers on the truck: amzn.to/3xvUWNz

I didn't do anything aside from adding the add a leaf so no wedge for my installation!
That sure is a nice campsite 😊
I do enjoy it, 😂

@@Yotatecher yeah, they’ve got about 16k on them with that weight on the whole time.
Do the front tires scrub when you turn or any time on the trail.?
Some. Mainly because I have 1" wheel spacers all around. If you wanted to avoid that, stock offset should do it and avoid almost all rubbing.
I've heard with coil front lifts more stress is put on the ball joints of the wheels. Does your build also account for that?

Stock Pro-4X 17” wheels and 285/70R17 Kenda Klever RT’s.

Nope, just "adds a leaf" to the pack and includes longer u-bolts.
