I can remember hearing it for the first time in Puerto Rico. I couldn’t fall asleep. After a week I was able to sleep like a baby You don’t hear it in the city. That sounds like a lot of coqui.
I remember the locals in Hilo went crazy and wanted to be gone. I am glad they got use to it. When I visited Hilo it reminds me of Puerto Rico. Love Hawaii my home 🌺 Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
This is actually really nice bc I've been listening to this every night but my husband always says the light bothers him since the screen has to stay on for yt. Thanks!
@@BigIsleVibes - Haha.. am with you man. I love their singin. But they can be very LOUD if near. I find the best thing to do is trim or remove bushes near open windows etc. Also find dusting from time to time to keep them away from living/sleeping area. That is why people in HI clear cut around their homes.. haha. Nothing but gravel! haha. No trees or bushes.
Can we hit 20 likes on this video? :) Hope you Enjoy it!
my cat and I lived on the island and this was our sleep aid. Even he can relax more when I play it. Mahalo nui loa.
I am so glad you enjoy it! You are welcome! :)
Used to live on the island and miss this noise so much 😢 so relaxing
Where did you used to live? I love the sound! Always reminds me of my home! :)
I absolutely love this sound!! So happy to find this video. Just wish I could set a sleep timer.
I am so happy you like it! How long would you set your sleep timer for? Maybe I can make the same video shorter! :)
@@BigIsleVibes an hour would be great, or I could just fast forward to the last hour of this

Coqui frogs are from Puerto Rico. Wrong title for video but thanks for sharing
Tanks to Walmart they have spread to Hawaii
They are originally from there, no doubt! But this video was recorder in Hawaii on the Big Island. In Hilo specifically. The title is right :)
Loved falling asleep to the Coqui frogs singing on our recent vacation to Hilo!
The coqui frogs were accidentally "imported" to Hawaii by stowing away on nursery plants. Lacking natural predators there, they quickly multiplied.
@@firelily07 I feel the same way! I am glad you like them! :)
So relaxing!
I want a couple so badly for pets. I am a very experienced tree frog and toad owner.
They are not as bad as they used to be.
I got to love the sounds of them
Not cute when it is 2ft away from your open window. It is like sleeping with an alarm clock going off all night!
Well 2ft is pretty close haha … try ear plugs and it might start sounding better afterwards!
I personally love their singing!
