This is a superb, super clear and helpful step-by-step tutorial for Windows machines. PIN THIS VIDEO. Cheers Chris and THANKS! EDIT: Any chance you might be able to give us some sound samples of all the new artist presets included in FW 1.6.3?
@@joesatchton212 Thanks! I can try but for some reason after my upgrade I didn’t see any of the new artist presets. Not sure if that is because the upgrade process didn’t want to overwrite my custom patches??? I’m thinking of doing a factory reset to see if I can see the presets. I would love to try them out too.
@@Tone-Quest Hey Chris, that makes a lot of sense - the GP200 is quite mature now and people like yourself will have created many user presets. Given that the total memory storage space is limited and pre-configured, it's likely that during the FW upgrade to 1.6.3 that if it runs into user preset locations that are already being used, then it skips adding in the new ones... Makes sense....But it would be amazing if you would be willing to try a full wipe of the device and try to get the new artist presets on there... Of course, that would be truly awesome but I'm not trying to twist your arm to do that full wipe. XD
@Tone-Quest: I ran into the same problem yesterday. Indeed the firmware update will not overwrite any user patches, and for that reason I missed some of the new artist presets (some of which sound great). To resolve this issue, you don't have to reset all data. Go to "Factory Reset" and choose "Reset factory patches(01-A~32-D)". Afterwards, re-import your user patches using the remaining free slots.
@@fahimrafaonmoy5272 There is a chance you could lose stuff, so they strongly recommend backing up everything you can. That being said, I upgraded and didn’t lose any of my 3rd party IR’s or custom presets.
Release notes also say "2. Added new effects to the PRE module: OD 9, Yellow OD, Penesas, Super OD, Blues OD, Harmonizer 1, Harmonizer 2", when the first 6 in the list went to the DST module, not PRE. Did you notice that too?
You don't get any more clear than that. Thank you.
Thanks for this video, I had no Idea that there was an update, now we can finally stack some overdrives!

@@Klaus-with-a-K I ended up doing the exact same thing. Big kudos to Valeton for having very flexible and solid software/firmware.
You rock! Thanks :)
Where do I find the version of the firmware that is currently installed indicated on the editor?
In the video description, that are some links to the firmware and software for Valeton.
If I Update... Could Loose anything....? like factory presets will be gone or updated.....? confused please help.....

No new Amps, no new Cabs, no new overdrivers.... I guess they could name this update 1.5.3, but not 1.6.3

Is this update is on gp200LT too?
@@rjuant5358 1.6.3 isn’t but 1.6.0 is.
They actually update these things? Lol. I thought there are always abandoned after release month.
