Why are garage cabinets made so complicated/tedious? This video is exactly what I was looking for! They look great and thank you for not making this a 10min video. Subscribed!
Very impressive way to frame them. Thank you for sharing. I can use this in my shop. Everyone stay safe, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
Great cabinets/shelves....i was looking for something simple, functional and great looking, you hit all these ideas out of the ball park. Thanks for the video!!
THE BEST SIMPLE CABINET BUILD ON RUclips,,,i was thinking exact same,,why not just 2x4 & plywood!!! ,,why all videos make it complicated,,thanks BRAH!!!
Awesome video. It looks so easy because well you are good at what you do. I have storage in my garage for when I bought the house but with no doors. This video definitely showed me how to go about doing that.
Nicely done! What kind of board stretcher did you use? I noticed between 1:29 and 1:32 the bottom panel grew by 3.5 inches or so ;). I've had to use various board stretchers myself over the years.
I make the spaces first, then make the doors based off of the opening measurements. Most times, I make my doors 1 inch bigger than the opening, so it will be 1/2 inch bigger on each side. Does that make sense?
Quick question. Were you not worried about screwing into studs? The portions that screw to the wall that equate for the depth of the cabinet as well as the vertical runners is it OK if they’re just screwed into the sheet rock?
I believe he locates the stud on one side and then marked the wall for all the other studs based on the stud center-to-center distance. The screws must go into the studs, the sheetrock will not support any significant weight.
It appears from the video that the two "upper" shelves in the cabinet are supported by 2x4's on 3 sides. But it appears you only supported the bottom "shelf" of the cabinet by screwing up into the 2x4's across the back and on the left side, and only into the end of the plywood on the right side? Being that the bottom shelf would presumably hold the heaviest items, I would think it might need more support than just the screws? They look good though. Thanks for the video!
I loved this video! I'm sure it's probably not going to be nearly as simple as you made it look because I am a complete rookie, but I'm going to attempt!
I think I might do the same with base cabinets but I will add some totes made of plywood that will lay on the shelves so I can pull them out and set them on my work bench. I like what was done here. Symple build and still looks nice using the kreg jig and building a facial
Nice work, but I laughed when I saw that you'd cut the bottom shelf too short and then magically fixed it without showing us, as a comparison of 1:10 and 1:15 shows!

By far the simplest garage cabinets. Love it.

I love the door as a work bench that folds down. I have something similar, but not a fancy door ha ha. Nice job, looks great.

Good Job Dude. Simple but Works
Thank you!
Love the build idea. Good design, and easy setup. And I am guessing solid as a rock as well, from the way you built that. Nice work! :)
Thank you!
Loved that you made glue-up panels for the shelves in place. Awesome.
I used left over wood!
@@hesswoodwork oooohh....thats why you ripped the 2x10s.....wasnt sure why,,,,,,,im gona buy some studs.....thanks
I like it! And with the cost of plywood, using 2x4s and pine shelves is much more cost effective.

How did you measure the space between each door at the 3:48 minute mark. I always struggle with this part.

does it get the strength by upper screw with roof
Skills!
Thanks!
Awesome job . Thank you

Love mine!!!
Awesome!
Looks great 👍 Do you have shopping list, measurements and plan for this please?
Thanks! I used extra lumber for these cabinets. 3/4 plywood and I cut up some 2x10s. The overall size is 4’ high 7’ long and 16” deep.
On the right hand side of the cabinets did you just attach the shelf supports to the outer panel of the cabinet or did you attach it to the wall also?
I attached it to the wall, I think.
Did you drill with nailes it,in the beginning??
I connected the wood with screws, using an impact driver.
@@hesswoodwork ok👍

Wow, why do my doors always need adjusting?
the frame/cabinet/hinges aren't square.
Cabinets that are installed correctly, shouldn't always need adjusting. Are your walls moving?
