Nice video! Totally on point. We were on Sapphire Princess for the Antartica cruise Christmas 2022-2023. Our cabin was a bit roomier (mini suite) with extended balcony, shower tub combo. The crew as you mentioned was so dedicated to us cruisers… Food was great & i need to emphasize how phenomenal the buffet was. Breakfast, lunch & dinner; delicious! At the buffet we had Indian food, sushi etc... As it was Christmas break, we had our 2 teens with us ages 17 & 15; they had a blast! Meeting other teens from also US & others from South Africa, South America, Australia, Germany was a great experience as they all bonded so well. At times, we hardly saw them as they were busy all the time. Yes, there are a lot of retirees… we met some on our cruise and had a great time with them. There is so much to do on Sapphire Princess; as well as many places to just relax. You choose what level or kind of activities you want to do. The Medallion app worked well for us. You open your room with the round medallion, order drinks & food, locate members of your party, in store purchases & as it is a tracking device, it helps you find your way around the cruise. Either using the medallion app on the phone or by the many Interactive screens all around the ship. Very important: you must download the Princess Cruise Medallion app before or when you get on the cruise as you have to use this item all through your cruise. For those who do not use technology much, there is an area where specialized crew members will teach cruisers. This medallion it’s needed to get on and off the cruise when visiting other ports. This item can be worn on your lanyard which is free or as a clip(purchase)or as wristband(purchase) Clips & wristbands can be purchase on the cruise or you can buy on Amazon as Apple Air Tags wearables(it fits). We had the Princess Plus beverage package and were able to order food or drinks from wherever we were on the ship and because of the medallion device location device; items were brought to us. Pretty good! We had a very good experience on this ship.
Question- but first- Thanks for the videos! We are going on our Alaskan Cruise this Summer on Sapphire Princess and this is helpful. We are deciding whether to move rooms to one near front of Level 8 and when you shared the bit about the front of Deck 8, it made me think maybe yes... Is the exit to the deck at front of level 8 right there or do you access it from level 7? Thanks.
Thanks for watching! Yes, to get to the very front of deck 8 you have to exit out of 7 and walk up the stairs outside. There's no guest entrance/exits on the front of 8 I believe.
